Where do I belong? 42.5.6 > 24

Dear friends, as you may have noticed, I've been going through some stuff lately, and trying to figure out how to get unstuck, asked one question that resulted in 24 and then wondering, what it is that I need to return to, I asked Where do I belong and received 42.5.6 also resulting in 24

A lot is tied up in that question, my job, my hobbies, my firends, my house, my family, the country I live in..I mean everything. And 42 with 5 and 6 changing is very contradictory. 42 on it's own and 5 would mean some sort of service, doing things for others, 42.5 being truly kind?! But 42.6 is a very bad line, so it worries me that I belong with it. Is the counsel of these combined lines that I belong in poverty? ugh

24 means you need to retreat for a while to get some energy. You can get some energy on your own if you take time to rest. After you gather enough energy, it is easy for you to solve those problems. The line in 42 remind you that sincerity and a long term relationship thinking are the ways to get unstuck.

Thank you both for your responses. I've been in retreat for days now, gathering energy and trying to return to that some previous condition which was more right than this one. I still have no idea where it is I belong, but perhaps the hexagram is telling me that I belong to wherever and whatever conditions I engender by the virtue of my beliefs, attitude and actions.

Hello Precision Grace. I am sorry to hear you are having a difficult time. Your situation sounds like it paralells mine in some respects. Actually, I believe I threw this not too long ago. I think Pocossin and Ijing0509 are on the right track. Perhaps reading is suggesting that in spite of your kindness and service you have been, as Pocossin said, struck... That this has thrown you off a little and you need to recenter yourself, and return to that place that brings you joy in being of service and kind... Could also hint that you belong in a place where kindness is returned? Of course you do not belong in poverty! And belong is a bit different than deserve. I think you DESERVE the best that life has to offer, and BELONG in a place where you can give and receive kindness. Sorry if this is poorly worded etc. Limitations of my phone and am in car.
