I've been housesitting in an area I spent 12 months living a couple of years ago.
I left because I needed to for my mental health at that time.
I'm surprised I returned but the opportunity arose so here I've been for the past month housesitting.
Originally it was just meant to be for 2 weeks.

Over the past month I've made some lovely new potential friends through a coffee group I started and also spent time with a very good friend I met when I was living here and reconnected with a work friend. So all in all it's been a very positive and heart-warming experience.
I'm heading off on Monday for a week camping and have no further housesits planned for the next 3 months (by choice).
I'd like to come back to this area for obvious reasons now....
What is the possibility I'll come back here on the day I leave the camping place

That day will be a few days before Winter.
I'm a lot less reactive and so much more Receptive to people and situations now, seeing the errors of my prior reactive being (understandable re PTSD).
I'm so glad I did come back here because it's changed my perspective in more ways than one so I'm thinking Line 1 is referring to whatever 'footsteps' I've taken this time is how things will stay for me whenever I do Return.

Perhaps you can just find a way to stay where you are? From all the good things you have said it sounds like a very good place to spend the winter which is possibly literally what this line is saying. From wikiwing, Hilary's note about Steve Marshall's ideas have always stuck in my mind

'Treading on frost,
Hard ice in the end.'

Steve Marshall[1] says this refers to marriage customs. You partner up at hoarfrost time, and by the time there's hard ice you'll be together in the house where you both spend the winter.

Going back to the actual question

In my own experience this line tends to predict, tell you, that how things are now they will become even more so just as frost will become ice. So basically you'll need to consider how things are right now and if you want them to solidify, grow more and more like how they are now. I think the reference to spending the winter above is quite interesting in your specific circumstances.

Where will you go? Back home I should think. In 24 the passes are closed for winter. Where is home? Well where you are sounds like it feels like home.

So, after your week camping I hope you can find some way to stay for the winter at least. These casts really do not suggest at all that you go off to another town or anything like that. Problem is how you will manage to stay but you'd have that issue anywhere and at least you have friends here.


24 also is so literal - returning on the 7th day and your camping trip is one week

It can't get much clearer...don't leave, stay in this town and let relationships develop.

I have found that 2.1 indicates that things will get worse.
Specifically, it has come up for me referencing weather:

In the morning there was a light sprinkle of rain, I considered a long hike and asked Yi about it. Received 2 1.
A few hours later the light sprinkle turned into a thunder & lightning storm.

Stayed home after the reading and watched the storm & lightning.
(Warm, dry & not electrocuted)

Geographically there is no need to go anywhere. What you are looking for is now returning to you. It's time to be more gentle with yourself and self nurturing.

Since starting on this journey in January, whilst there's still been a few difficult people, I'm finding people I can connect with in more than one town I've housesat in. Such a foreign situation for me.

Here's what's happened so far:
I couldn't find a way to stay in the town plus as moss elk mentioned, the weather got worse and I wanted to get away from the constant rain. I felt broken hearted at having to leave, at the same time knowing it was the right thing to do.
I travelled a couple of 100kms to see a Medical Intuitive to help me with my persistent migraines and he helped me with more than my physical health.
I had no destination in mind after that but I really felt the desire to get back to teaching and applied for a few governess jobs so I've travelled to stay at a friend's place whom I haven't seen for 5 years and I have a meeting with the parents and children this coming Friday, which is a couple of hours drive from my friend's house.
I think all-in-all what happened for me since I did this reading is definitely a reflection of hexagram 2.

So obviously I did end up Returning to this town I'm now in but again (at this point) I need to leave where I'm living and have nowhere else to move to!! Crazy....
