Hi,

I'm having a little trouble deciding on what kind of career I'd be suited to following (I know it's probably a case of dabbling and then you find out) but I did a couple of readings on three possible avenues.. I think I am understanding which is more positive but feel a certain ambiguity too.. I asked which would be the best to follow?

Option A
43.6 > 1

Seems creative, but in the second hex, and as there's only one line moving, looking mostly at the moving line (as recently learnt!) 43.6 - seems perhaps there is a hidden evil in this idea?

Option B
30.5 > 13 (again only one line moving!)

Hex 30 is always pleasing to see.. but 30.5 doesn't seem to be... is it saying it'll be harder work than I think but that I should remember in the end good fortue will come, or that I should have a change of heart?

Option C
15.1 > 36

15.1 that this idea would be daunting to me now, as a small fox, and thus I should darken the light on the idea for now?

I think option A and C would be the hardest to follow... and I'm not sure how to read them, as all the moving lines seem ambiguous as to whether positive or negative (except 43.6 which does just seem negative)

What are your impressions?

Greatful for any input here.. and it's funny how we were just talking about readings where only one line moves!
Ah.. synchronicity.. now there's a subject I'd like to follow!

:)

Any initial impressions of these lines? Any real life experience?

Thanks - I think I get the general feeling but perhaps there is hidden encouragement or discouragement...
I am actually acting on option B soon.. perhaps it's saying I will meet friends through that but that it'll be more challenging than I think...

Hi em ching,

My experience with consulting the I Ching is that I do better to tackle one hexagram at a time. The I Ching says "the superior man is thorough in all that he does" and asking a second question before you feel you're really clear with the answer to the first often leads to "I give him no information." -hex.4.

I do think the response you received to option B sounds the most promising.

Hang on ! What 'small fox'...there is no small fox in 15.1 is there ? (not laughing at you just amuses me the way we add foxes here and there inadvertently, i do it too...hang on is there a fox there..maybe I'm wrong..have to check)

Er anyway options B and C both look good to me. 15 is just about getting on with things realistically, feet on ground very often. Its possible this option may seem a little dull...but solid

The danger in 43.6 is not letting your needs be known..how that applies i don't know..could be you need to express yourself more re option A if you want option A tell someone.

Oops yeah you're right - don't know where the fox came from... I guess when it says crossing the great stream the image of a little fox came to mind.. but here is an instance where there is no mention of the critter!Hmm.. probably fits though..

Well, option A would indeed require a lot of knocking on doors, being pushy etc which I don't think is quite me.. Option B I am going to try out now.. get a feel for it. Option C is actually more academic.. so perhaps where dull but solid could come in! I think it would also require commitment and concentrated work which, as I'm not sure yet, probably isn't a good time to do anything more than look and consider crossing to at the other side of that stream...

Well, we'll see how it goes!

Could hex 36 be saying that that particular idea may have light ie something in it, but not for now?

Thanks Rosada too point taken :) but I suppose, as these three options have popped up, I wanted to see which my subconscious, or the Yi, seemed more comfortable with, in comparison.

Thanks :bows:
