Why did I get hexagram 50 for Insurance Policy when I can't really afford it?

I had a strange experience with the Yi day before. When I asked to invest in a unit led insurance policy which would deprive me of my savings every month from a Fixed Deposit (not a great idea when you work as a Consultant), I received hexagram 50 and so went ahead and broke my FD to get out a small amount of money which I could invest. But then I stopped payment on the cheque when I realised that it was not wise. I read a bad review on the Net and was worried about lack of money if I lost my new job. These guys are bloodhounds as my accountant tells me. They an really sweet talk you. When I asked a second time about the policy yesterday, I drew 16, anther positive hexagram. What's happening? Any suggestions? I had simply asked - What if I invest in the policy.

Thanks!

Hi Circe,

Hex 50 has consistently come up for me as an image when feeling obligated and responsible for keeping the peace in a difficult relationship (like family members, no easy outs). It's seemed to be more about a rethinking of my own approach, reactions, boundaries, actions, and consequences rather than expecting the other to change their unpleasant ways. It has caused me stretch and grow in many ways, but not a relationship I'd enter into lightly by choice.

Hex 16, not so familiar with. A lot of energy best channeled with a reliable team?

Best regards,

Iams girl

Hi Lams Girl

Yes you're right. I was wondering whether this had more to do with transforming myself than with the policy. I just had to thin clearly which I wasn't doing, being carried away by the sweet talking. And 16 - well, when I asked my accountant he said it wasn't a good idea to invest - that's the team I suppose. Thanks!
