Why did I meet this person? 57.2 -> 53

Hi, this is a follow-on from a previous question http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?21559-Will-me-meet-again-47-3-gt-28. I've started a new thread, as it's a new question.

The IC had advised not to expend so much energy as to whether I'll meet someone again (47.3 -> 28). But this made me wonder why I met this person in the first place if it caused so much upheaval in my life. Part of me thought past life connection.

So I cast and got 57.2 -> 53, Subtle Penetration -> Gradual Development.

So I'm interpreting the answer in two ways--first, that our brief encounter has had a subtle pentration, causing me to undertake a journey of the past 6 years into who I am now. I met this person at a poetry writing retreat. Following the retreat I experienced an emotional roller coaster, spurring me to want to do more with my poetry but also making me doubt whether I had the talent/ability/time to do so--was I living a pipe dream? Six years later I am deeply immersed in the poetry world and have also undergone a deeper discovery of who I am. So I'm wondering if the emotions of our encounter helped facilitate that--whether that's being pointed out here.

My other interpreteration is that the answer to my question will 'subtly reveal' itself, a gradual development that may take many years. That is, I may not know the reason/the impact of our encounter for some time. I may have hints, but I won't know it truly because it unfolds so slowly & sublty. Impatience to know will not help me. I must trust.

Or maybe it's a combination of the two?

57.2 → 53 (Gradual Development), Richmond:
Under the bed. Many priests and magicians. Good fortune. No error.

The bed is where we lie to sleep, so under this is under the sleep consciousness;
identity cannot reach this directly, its distinguishing mode is not suitable, but priests and magicians work at the borders of awareness; bringing these forces out is good fortune and no error.

Submerged parts of the personal self need experience through feeling when they have been unable to manifest in consciousness; this is so even though that consciousness may have a bad opinion of them.
No part can be left out when we seek wholeness; how could it be otherwise?

I think that person was a catalyst to bring your subconscious desires, aspirations and talents to the surface.
53 and 57 both gradual and subtle, with 57 acting as a seed slowly growing inside your mind.
53 is about allowing yourself to change by the outside circumstances (opposite is 54, when outside resists your desire to change).

6 years is plenty for a tree to grow I think your first interpretation is spot on.
