Greetings To All...

When I first came to this forum, I consulted the Oracle On the correct way to behave here. The Yi King responded by saying 11(T'ai-PEACE) into 19 (Lin-APPROACH) My Behavior should consist of a Peaceful Approach. T'ai, relates to TAO. There is a book called the Tao Te Ching, which is somewhat a companion book to the Yi King. There are several ancient books in china, such as the Nei Ching (The Book Of Internal Medicine), Which is really a companion volume to the Yi King. It is a book of medicine, but Medicine in the true sense where it deals with the way of life that helps to preserve you in the middle. The foundation of the Yi King... every Counsel that the Yi King gives you is to keep you in the middle. It is to keep you centered. I want you to understand that one of the biggest problems in life is that you are confronted with X situation, and you say, let me see what response I can give. I have a series of responses I can give to X situation; I can give A, G, and Y. So you say here is X situation and I'll respond with Y. The Y response might satisfy X, but Violate A, and G, and N, and P, and R, and Z.

T'ai Chi relates to Tao. Tao is the science of life where we preserve the balance between things. Where things come together in such a manner, where the satisfaction of one premise does not violate something else, In life it's not enough to find a solution to a specific problem, we must find a solution that is in harmony with everything else. That is the Premise of the 11th Hexagram.

The 3rd line (The Middle Path) changes over to the 19th Hexagram, indicating my Approach here. What do I seek to find balance in concern to my question? My Lin (Approach to others).

This is why I choose to search out points of harmony. I'm following the Counsel of the Yi King, by constantly seeking the middle ground with you all. If something is said that I personally disagree with, it serves no purpose to respond to say I disagree. It's better to look at the Authors message, and seek out something that I can agree with, or unify with, and respond to that. If I'm specifically asked about a particular point, my perspective may be different from others, but even in that, we should not dwell on our differences, but on our sameness. If I fall short in my living of the counsel of A Peaceful and Balanced way to Approach the Forum, please pull my Coat.

Thank You All...

Dear Supanatural,

Thank you for sharing both your approach - and bless you for that - and the reading. Line 3 must have prepared you for us to some extent! (I think we're on the uneven ground at present...)

You might be interested - or amused - to learn that when I first stopped and asked the oracle for help with the latest mess, after it had told me to get out of the carriage (off my high horse, maybe?) with 22 to 52, it said that writing something to the forum to ask people to desist would be 47 changing to 32... and that leaving well alone would be 37 to 52. So I did exactly that, and I'm looking out for 37, line 5 - maybe more than one person can fulfil this role, but I'm clearly not the one.

Then after Candid's return I received 13 changing to 33, and tentatively tried posting. I also seriously thought of writing to everyone involved in private, even started doing so - and then asked about this. 26 to 52. Maybe not such a great idea.

After my third encounter with #52, I wonder if you have any thoughts on it? I'd also be glad to share my own thoughts on your reading if you would be interested.

Greetings To All...

Hilary, I'd welcome any insight you may want to add to my counsel. I haven't meditated on it yet, I'm looking forward to a time when all is still.

The 52nd Hexagram is titled "Keeping Still". The Compliment of the 52nd Hexagram is the 58th Hexagram Titled Tui (Joy). The 58th Hexagram gives counsel on how to manage ones emotions. Tui deals with Likes, and dislikes. Joy should always come from within. Joy should not depend on external things. The other half of the whole is Hexagram 52 "KEEPING STILL". I like to name this Hexagram after the name that was given to it through the Goddess Maat, after a ritual one night. I like to call it "KEEPING THE HEART STILL". This Hexagram deals with Keeping the Heart still, in order to live truth. The 58th Hexagram deals with being emotional. The 52nd hexagram deals with emotions being unable to sway your heart. Meaning no matter what someone say's or does, it should not effect you now. Emotions have never been guides to truth. Emotions are children of impotent revolt. In The 52nd Hexagram we live truth. Regardless whether we like or dislike a person, we Keep the Heart Still, and Live Truth. The 52nd Hexagram means that if you are ill, and the medicine that you need to take taste terrible, and you don't like it, you keep the heart still, and take it because it's going to help you. We rise above our emotional side of being here. I was told at a ritual, that when you've fully mastered this Hexagram, someone should be able to put a Feather under your nose, and in the face of the worse possible news, your breathing should never change, meaning the Feather should never move. That's keeping the Heart Still. in the Face of the best possible news, the Feather should not move. We don't allow our emotions to guide us at the 52nd Hexagram. Usually in an emotional crisis, a persons breathing changes. With every changing emotional expierence, there is a different pattern of breathing that accompanies it. Spirituality lies in the reversability of certain laws. Meaning, that we can also change the breathing, in order to invoke the emotional state that we need. Deep Smooth, Calm Breathing is what we need here. If someone post something here, that I may not like, I keep My Heart Still, and live the truth of My reading, and find a common point to unify with him or her with.

The 26th Hexagram, when you get this hexagram, you must meditate, I don't care how light a trance it is, but you must sit down and meditate. you have to sit down and slow your breathing down, and go into trance and deal with the matter in an altered state of consciousness, in another state of awareness, in the Samadhi state of awareness. It doesn't have to be a deep traumatic possession of an ancestor or deity, but you must have transcended the externalized state of awareness. This is the way of succeeding when you get the 26th Hexagram. those of us that are taken things to heart need to sit down, and slow the breathing down in this situation. We must Tame the Power of the Great, by Keeping Our Hearts still, in order to live truth.

I hope this at least helps one person here.
