I just found out that a job I have applied for has changed my application status online to "Under Consideration". I couldn't help but ask Yi, "Will I get the VP job?", to which I received a 6.1.3.6 > 43.

I interpret that as reflecting the transition from my current job to the potential new one. In my current job, I am highly underpaid and frustrated. I think Yi is telling me that I am feeling a lot of energy about this position, but to calm down since the time is not yet right to act. There will be a serious conflict within me soon in regards to interviewing and the process of getting this new job (so the current employer does not find out). I will think it is risky to go through this, but it will be worth it in the end.

The competition for this job will be rather keen and I should place the proper amount of energy towards getting it, but no more. I need to keep focus on my current job, just in case I do not get the new one. Ultimately, I think Yi is telling me that I will get the job, as it leads to a breakthrough in my current situation to better things.

I wasn't entirely sure of that interpretation, so I asked "Please clarify the last casting" and got 40 Unchanging. I think Yi was telling me that the troubles I'm experiencing will subside and I will get the position.

Am I on target here or am I just looking at this with rose colored glasses, as I think this could be a great job for me? I appreciate any input you may have - thanks so much!

Dear Samoyedgrrl,

I don't think that the Yi is telling you whether or not you are going to get the job but rather it is drawing a picture of a situation with high potential of conflict (and it is not a conflict within). Your reading is asking you to consider the whole process, which still has a long way to go (being short listed, going for the interview, being offered the job...).

It worries me that line 6 is a pyrrhic victory, you know, when you put so much hard work to win something but in fact what you consider a victory brings losses in its wake.
So, there is a lot to consider before getting the job itself. I see Hex 43 as you having to deal with those opposing elements: the current job that you don't like - but have to be careful about the way you leave it - and the prospective new job - which is highly competitive and you don't really know what lies ahead. You think that new job would be great for you, but would it be really? (you might ask he Yi;) )

Hope that helps.

Mirian,

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response. I agree, there is a long way to go here and that there will be a lot of steps along the way that I have to take successfully to proceed to the next level. I do need to be careful how I leave the current job - I don't think I would do anything stupid, but I believe that I still need to focus and give it my all until I start a new position. Financially, I am faltering here and must do something different. I cannot afford to stay at this job. Even if I was not frustrated with other elements of this position, I'd have to seek employment elsewhere since the pay does not cover my living expenses as I was promised it would.

I asked your suggested follow up question, "Would getting this job be good for me?" and received an 18.2 > 52. I think that is saying to me that the choices I have made in the past which took me off my original corporate career path years ago which were bad (due to a controlling ex who, through his actions and my reactions to what he did helped me lose a job and I changed professions completely)...that this is my time to rectify that and get back on the path.

Thank you for your feedback.
I agree with you on 18.2 saying that it is the right decision to take steps to correct past mistakes regarding your career. It does seem to point to the fact that it is about time you did something to bring your original career back on track.

That said, there is also an important element to this line: you should not punish yourself for past bad decisions, you should accept that there were things beyond your control that forced you to change direction. So, be a little bit gentle to yourself now and it is important to avoid any guilt or resentment. Even though it is time to deal with the "corruption" (in this case your current professional situation) that does not mean that you can now rectify this all at once. There seems to be a risk in you attitude.

I think it is a time for you to be very observant and you should carefully look at your readings so far. If I had you readings I would concentrate much more on understanding the whole process that you are (and will be) going through to leave your current job and get the one that takes back where you should be. Again, the job you have just applied for might not even be the one .

You know, there is an aspect of Hex 6 that refers to seeking advice from someone with more knowledge and/or experience and I wonder if you could see/speak to somebody to give career advice or someone who has got more information about this job that you are interested in. I just thought that I should mention that.

Best of luck.

I've been thinking of what the reference to speaking with someone with more wisdom refers to....so, I decided to update my Linkedin account and start networking like a crazy woman this afternoon. It could be that I find someone this way who can give me insight in regards to the company, the position, etc. and possibly an introduction and help towards getting the interview.

I have applied for several jobs at this corporation and two are showing on their website that I am "under consideration" at this time. I had a second glance at the resume I sent them and it makes me cringe. Two glaring typos! Hopefully they'll overlook it and I can still move forward here.

You are right, this job I inquired Yi about may not be the one, but rather it could lead me in the direction of the job I'm supposed to be in. Thanks for the words of encouragement about not beating myself up over the past. It's hard to do, when I had the world in my hand and I threw it away for nothing.

I appreciate your insights on this topic...needless to say, it's very interesting to me right now. Can't wait to see how this turns out!

This job you applied for: no money, no funny.
Shortage of customer/capital, shortage of cash. Pay not good, career development not good.
Even if you get an offer, would you accept?
Time consuming with no acceptable results.
Above is my guess based on the six line analysis
Can be all wrong....
