Ok, have kind of a weird situation here...
I made an art sketchbook for this travelling art show based out of brooklyn (I am in Canada) Its kind of an odd sculpture/mixed media wood book I threw together..with strange and weird pieces in it. There is two alligator jaws...the screen from an old gameboy....assorted metal things like screws..chain holding a book.
I have been very excited for the book to make it to the art museum in brooklyn; mailed it today (today was the deadline...was to be postmarked for today). If the book gets held up at customs..it will not make it into the travelling show they do.
I just realized AFTER I dropped it off at purolator tonight that because of the taxidermied alligator parts...it might get held up at customs. :(

So, I cast a reading...and dont understand it at all regarding this...

Your reading resulted in the following hexagrams:

48 changing to 60

Key Questions

What is the ever-present resource you draw from?
What can you do to realize its potential here?

Oracle

‘The Well. Moving the city, not moving the well.
Without loss, without gain,
They come and go, the well wells.
Almost drawn the water, but the rope does not quite reach the water,
Or breaking one’s clay jug,
Pitfall.’

The people of ancient China would sometimes move a whole city to a more favourable site – and they could take everything with them, except the well. You can transplant your centre and change everything about your life, except for the source you draw on to sustain it all. You cannot own this source, nor carry it with you; whenever you move, you will need first of all to dig a new well to reach it.

The well itself is utterly dependable: nothing anyone can do will raise or lower the water level. People and experiences come and go; time passes; the well is always the well, and does not change. You need never doubt that you have these resources, or that they are enough. The real question is whether you have the means to reach into such depths, and a steady hand to bring the water up into the real world without loss. To fail would be disastrous. The potential in the situation is undeniable, but it may still be a long way from realization.

Image

‘Above the wood is the stream: the Well.
A noble one toils with the people, encouraging them to help one another.’

Sequence

The Well follows from Hexagram 47, Confined:
‘Confined in reaching upward naturally means turning inward, and so the Well follows.’

Changing Lines

Line 1

‘The well is muddy, no drinking.
Old well, no birds.’

Line 3

‘Well is dredged, no drinking.
This makes my heart ache.
It can be used to draw water,
With the king’s clear vision,
People together accept its blessing.’

Hexagram 60, Measuring

Key Questions

What limits apply here?
What agreements are at work?
Does everyone understand them and find them palatable? Do you?

Oracle

‘Measuring, creating success.
Bitter measures do not allow for constancy.’

Things need to be articulated to make them more manageable, easier to take in and work with. Such measures, when they grow organically, reflect the natural rhythms of life and allow a fuller participation in its flow. Progress is made in small increments.

Individuals with measure live sustainably and flourish; groups who share measures and standards, who speak the same language, can reach agreement and build trust. But if anyone reacts to the measures as they would to a bitter taste – if they find them too hard to swallow – then they are not sustainable. This isn’t a matter of tradition, principle or logic, but of human experience.

Image

‘Above the lake is the stream: Measuring.
A noble one works out and reckons the measures,
Reflecting on character in action.’

Sequence

Measuring follows from Hexagram 59, Dispersing.
‘Things cannot end with spreading out, and so Measuring follows.’

Eden,

My best guess is: your parcel might be sitting somewhere, waiting for some action to be taken. Can you track it down? Can you contact somebody, open communication channels, to see if this been resolved and, if not, what you can do.

Hope your mail gets through :bows:
