wondering why

Hi to everyone,
I am new to iching. I first read about it in a book and looks interesting. I believe that it will help me to see things for a diferrent point of view.
Question: What is preventing us from being together ?
The background : My relationship with him last for 6 years. We have been apart two times in the past for some months. This time we broke up a year ago. In my opinion based on my instincts and not to his words is that his problem is that he can find the strength to make some decisions and end his marriage. (yes I am in love with a married man wrong or right who can tell???). So because he could not make his mind he decided to release me from that situation that hold me back.
But all this is simply a hypothesis. So I asked IC …

Question: What is preventing us from being together ?

What IC wants to tell me ? Is he decided to go away , think and make some decisions ? Did he left because was the second best right thing to do. Set me free ?

I have a feeling that this situation is temporary but I can’t find something in the hex telling me whether I am write or wrong.
I know that love sometimes is not enough and I know that the best I should do is to forget him, move on, find something else etc but if I have to put it behind it ,I neeeed not to hide it but to solve it.
I’d appreciate if you could help me to find what the IC is telling me.

I think that it is talking about him and me. I discover in him some ways of , thinking, behaving that make me want to want to aquire that “beauty” . I wanted to change me to act like he did. “If he perceives something bad in himself, let him rid himself of it” . I could not say it better. I think that he is undergoing a period of growth/expansion within his marriage, getting closer to his wife, and therefore has no desire to go chasing after you anymore, so it is over as far as he is concerned.

Hex 42.4 says that you should face the facts and not put yourself in the position of being the injured party.

Hex 25 says that you want a result that will bring pain to another, this is not an innocence game, it will ultimately bring you shame and misfortune if you persist. Therefore, stop being selfish and let him go.
