had an affair ( neither of us married) but it was a friend I have known off and on for a year...The good friend of an ex..
We had a night together over the weekend totally unexpected and now I want to know what kind of potential is there for us..

First throw was really vague general question:
Basically whats is going on with SA and me what's going on here??:

Then i got specific and asked what is the potential for us, what does the future hold as far as a relationship:

31 1.3 > 17

I used the coin toss method for the above and for the ones below with same question about the potential for us I also used an application on iphone

and got 19 unchanging for one app

and 31 unchanging for the other app

I have no idea if these apps are accurate ..I wonder what you all think about these hexs...????

I really like him and it is a bit complicated but the yi is usually pretty clear about the potential of past relationships..But here I dont want to get my hopes up... when I see 31 or 19

Your first cast is saying you went to far, somehow & will create conflict internaly or externaly for both of you. Could be what you are experiencing now... notice how it matches your question. It could be heavy could be light, but with the looks of your other responses 19 & 31.. mutual attraction is there between the two of you & also friendship.

Honestly Freeme, I think that it is going off the moment right now for you & telling you to get in touch/ go meet & talk about it, so emotions can start to get better.

Hmmmm talk to him?? Maybe I need to talk to a therapist!! LOL..not a bad idea..I am too afraid to call him, do not want to chase ..He said he would get in touch with me when he wanted to hang out..He has my number. He was clear about his availability...not for a serious relationship.."but we can hang out" I just wanted to see what my part could be in terms of what I can do to allow the best possible relationship between us with the awkward beginning we have..OK I am just gonna breathe ..Pray for an intuitive thought!

Maybe ask what is the best way to approach him? Keeping it light & casual..go get some ice cream or watch movie, meet for coffee. I dont think its very fair honestly when a guy says that he will be the one to say yes now I am ready to meet. Since you are friends already & you want to get a feel of the situation between the two of you I really dont think there is any harm in asking him to meet you in a casual setting. Ask how he would feel if you suggested meeting up somewhere? How long have you been seperated from your ex?

I think you are being told to be enthusiastic or light not panicky leave it open ended for him to say yes or no with no strings attached..whatever he decides let him know its no big deal..its asking & than leaving it open.

after a long and pensive weekend I have not heard from the guy...not surprised.. I see how incompatible we are in the face of him stating he " is in no place to be dating" but we can hang out" Thats just not me so I am not going to reach out to him. I asked yi if he would contact me in before I leave town again on Thurs...and I got

I see the holding back on his part then I see some movement forward..but I also know its very inaccurate to ask what the other person may or may not do. But, I dont expect to hear from him ever again..
