... as a member's emailed me to say this has happened to her a few times: she clicks a link here, and gets sent to a page of advertisements, nothing to do with Clarity. I think this must be something nasty infecting her computer, rather than a problem here, but just wanted to check. It's not happening for anyone else, is it?

No problem. If she said where she clicked, I'd try the links myself.

One was 'Shared Readings' - I think in the forum header - and one was the 'Friends' link from the member page. Neither has anything permanently wrong with it, which is why I guess something on her computer is hijacking her browser. Just wondered, in a paranoid way, whether something on my site had somehow acquired the ability to mangle the links when a page was generated, but only some of the time.

Sounds as though the host file may be corrupted on her computer.

Interesting thought - thanks. And thanks for the reassurance, everyone.

I had one weirdness experience after following a link posted here somewhere, but I don't recall exactly where it was posted. Had to shut down the Firefox browser. I also picked up a trojan around that time but can't be certain it was from that link, may have been a coinkeedink.
