Thank you for this one Pocossin. Is really great to know at least a bit of who the person behind the name was and find such great surprises like this one.

Indeed it is, Sergio, and thank you for posting a link. Sherrill had guts as well as brains. This book is truly a treasure.

"Also, during World War II I had the unusual experience,
when in a fighter plane making an attack on military installations
at Kure, Japan, of seeing a shell leave the muzzle
of a gun and come slowly floating up towards me. I finally
realized that if I didn't do something, it would hit me, so I
maneuvered my plane to avoid it. I watched it pass me and
explode slightly behind me. This occurred when I was about
7,000 feet altitude. Actually the shell was coming towards
me at the rate of about 2,500 ft/sec and I was approaching
it at about 500 ft/sec. So we were closing towards each
other at the rate of around 3,000 feet a second. Thus all
this happened in less than 3 seconds, that is, the time it would
take you to say "one and two and". But to me it was a
long time with plenty of opportunity to observe, think, analyze~
react and watch. So it is with Universal Time, where timing
is coordinated with circumstances" (Heritage of Change,100-101).

It looks like the book is rare indeed. Glad I found a copy at some point. There is the one Harmen scanned (a gem, since it is author-inscribed), a few copies in university libraries, one copy out on Abebooks for $95 (but I didn't find it directly, but through Google, so it may be a ghost listing). In a word, hen's teeth and an interesting book, not just an oddity. So once again thanks to Harmen for scanning it to make it available to scholars.
