Dear friends, hi :)

As the answer to what is Ichings suggestion for attitude towards someone I got 57.1.3.5.6 changing to 19.

Is it telling I should appriach them?

Best and thanks,
P

Hi Pyramid,

You asked for a suggestion on your attitude, so it's:

Show hesitation (57.1), lots of confusing communication (57.2), pause to check progress (57.5), and even after all this, still overthink it and sort of 'lose it', still appear totally confused (57.6). So if you show a lot of uncertainty towards them, then a mutual approach will be possible - and it won't take that long actually for that to happen. Please let us know how it went!

Hexagram 19 with it's ominous warning about the 8th month makes me think you should not try to go too far too fast. Hexagram 57 is the wind blowing all about as in just shooting the breeze without a definite goal. I think you are being advised that you should assume you do not know this person well enough to push for any sort of specific relationship with them. Your attitude should be that you are simply looking to become better acquainted.

Hello :)
Thank you diamanda and rosada!
Your interpretations match the current situation very well : we have regular gatherings and I am the new member... so my internal perception of these encounters, as well as our meeting routine, is exactly how diamanda explained, and I think rosada's take adds well to that, the Ichingy attitude I could pick :)

I also asked the Iching what to expect to see from their side? Got 13.2.3 -> 10.
I am usually confident in interpreting 13, but 10 is a completely unknown territory :p
To me sounds a "They will cautiously become company.", what do you think?

Cheers,
P.

Hexagram 13.2.3 seems to be wary of private friendship at this point. They may be particularly aware of how you treat others in the group. Important that you treat all with thoughtful respect, show yourself to be a valuable addition to the whole team.

So basically from their side it's a careful evaluation?

In the meantime, I asked more questions. Sorry that I squeeze them all in a single thread

I'm fond of growing in my career and doing successful independent work. And I have a boss :D
So I asked the Iching: "What's my best attitude towards my boss so that I can have his support, not waste my time on his tall orders, and do successful work."

The answer was Hex 15uc.

Your help is precious :)

Hexagram 15 suggests to me a Modest man who does his job in life without fanfare. Whether he is the king or the janitor doesn't matter. He fulfills his assigned role and does the work that needs to be done with dignity. I think of bees where they all look alike and each does their part for the hive. As a response to the attitude you should take with your boss I think you are being encouraged to see yourselves as each doing your job and maybe he interprets his role as the one who should be demanding but you don't have to see him as someone with more power than you. See yourselves as equals. Focus on the job you are there to do. Stay Modest and simply go about your business.
Good luck!

Back here and greetings :)
I wonder what is my role/position in the team I work with.
Hexagram 7uc. The army??? Does not make sense to me, so is there an ancient role model related to hex7?

Wish you all the best with the oracle :)

Some definitions of 'shi'/Army are:
A model / an example / a master / a teacher / a tutor / to teach / to pattern or model after another / a specialist.
So I believe they respect your expertise with something particular and hope to learn from you (?).

Dear diamanda,

Thanks for your interpretation, what you said seems quite positive to me, I will pick it as 'the' reply :)
In the meanwhile as an update about the first question (attitude) that was the original post, nothing major has happened, but some key figures in this regular meetings have started to show a nice interest on me. Still in the get-to-know-to-each-other phase :)

Perhaps you are being advised to think of your role in being part of the team as similar to the way one might be a part of an army and that your position will improve as you act as a soldier on the battle field might. That is, you are advised to care passionately about the work goals, to stay closely involved with the day to day activities and to be generous in training and caring for your co-workers.

Dear rosada,

Thank you for your nice interpretation, it is interesting that you and diamanda always offer two different, yet quite valuable vantage points on a reading. And I am lucky to have you both here :)
