It goes through the whole sequence of 64 hexagrams with only one line changing from one to the next, and ends up back at the beginning again. Pretty cool.

We get better perspectives applying recursion to a hexagram - the initial steps of the Grey Code manifest this process and in doing so brings out the order of 'changing line' steps in hexagrams as it covers the XOR material for each line pattern.

See the 'vertical' sequences in http://members.iimetro.com.au/~lofting/myweb/icmatrix.html

as with the Numeric (top or bottom LSB) and the Mawangdui sequences it's more like two independent trigram sequences.

Where as yours, the Mystery and the Wen sequences are more aesthetically pleasing when animated because both trigrams ie the upper and lower, change for nearly every step in the sequences.

The Eight Places sequence is somewhere in between.

Is it correct that both the Mystery and Numeric (top LSB) sequences are attributed to Shao Yung ?
