I have added a trial Java applet navigation system to get around the I Ching Plus material:

http://members.iimetro.com.au/~lofting/myweb/freemindbrowser.html

let me know re usefulness etc etc

click on the labels to expand/contract nodes. click on the red arrows for hyperlinks.

hexagrams are in trigram-based groups (octets) ordered in binary sequence format, top to bottom, left side yin (02 to 44) right side yang (01 to 24)

Note - the hexagrams comeup in their own page so if you have pop-up blocking turned on, disable it for the website. To get the hexagram octet when all you see is trigrams, click on the trigrams not their hyperlink (clicking on the red arrow hyperlink will just give a page of info on the trigram)

I like it, Chris.

It's interesting just to look at, as well as to use as navigation. In case it's helpful, and not to negate all the good things about it, the MBTIX link seems not to be working.

yes - the owners of the MBTI did not like the format I used, felt it was too close to their copyright material and so asked (demanded?) the material be removed from public access. The associations were ok but using the term MBTI(R)Plus etc (as I use I Ching Plus or Mathematics Plus etc) was considered confusing as if the material was implying IT was the MBTI rather than showing the extensions I identified as POSSIBLE given the IDM work.

I will have to redo the material or ignore the MBTI totally and do my own 'typology' in that the qualities of types are the same for all of these specialist metaphors, it is the labels that make the differences. The advantage of the IDM work applied to the MBTI it is takes things WAY beyond the traditional MBTI material and so into areas never covered in the MBTI - a sample of these areas is all that remains - http://members.iimetro.com.au/~lofting/myweb/type.html

I will do a quick fix and relabel the 'type' page MBTIX so at least the link works but lacks a lot of details!

I have focused on splitting the information. The top part of the display covers the links to the trigrams/hexagram pages. (note in these that on a hexagram page, if you click on the hexagram image it will take you to the other page associated with the hexagram - as such the hexagram image acts as a 'toggle')

The bottom part of the display currently contains links to:

Background - (1) introduction to IDM and (2) introduction to XOR

Extensions - (1) The Five Phase I Ching and (2) the Emotional I Ching

the emotional I Ching link is to the program page - to see the preamble (about projection, transference etc and so non-verbal communications) click on the "Emotional I Ching" words in the heading of the page.
