Hope springs eternal in the Human Heart. For realize it or not, our souls are eternal and there is no death. Yet we do experience cycles. And with the shortest day of the year now past, the new cycle of the longer days starts again. As the physical light of the sun shines more greatly upon the Northern Hemisphere, so too may the spiritual sun shine more deeply in our hearts. And as hexagram 24 offers us the hope of a new beginning, so may the spiritual sun once again rise in our hearts so that we may see the new day in the "kingdom of heaven."
