Has anyone read "The Living I Ching" by Ming-Dao Deng?

This has been out for awhile but I've found no reviews here and only a suspect one on Amazon. I've never found Ming-Dao Deng's works too useful but this is a beautifully produced book with minimal scholarly apparatus. Opinions would be helpful.

I was going to post the same question myself! Just got the book at our library this week. Haven't gotten into it yet but as you say it's a beautiful book. Here's part of
what it says for hex. 18:

Poison

Come back home.
Father is ill.
You must set
his matters right.
For three days
before you go,
for three days
following your
return home,
you see the change.
His body
is slack and bruised,
his buisness
in disorder.
You check him.
The poison grows.
You tally
losses and debts.
With wet eyes,
you will receive
his old friends.
You will give his
eulogy.
Three days before
and three days
after, they all
look to you,
and address you
as the master.

Based on what Rosada just posted for 18, my opinion is, it's inspiring poetry; a unique and personal feel of 18.

Beauty is only skin deep, in this case cover deep. Nice to look at the outside only.

Wow. A beautiful poem, if you've read the Yi. And a beautiful poem if you haven't. Bit of a winner, yeah?
