Hexagram 43 > 10 then 9 >57

Hey all - I was coming to the end of a long term relationship and asked the iching what I could do to save it...initially it gave me 43 > 10 but then when I spoke to my girlfriend she broke it off. I was calm about things and tried to be supportive while deeply dying inside.

When I got home I asked the iching again - what do I do now...? Is it really over...? And I got 9 > 57.

Thoughts on either of these?

It depends on the situation. What has happened recently and how do you feel about it?

43>10- lines 3 and 6 are proper correlates. It seems there is work to be done. Was there a misunderstanding? Did you fail to communicate your feelings? Or your truth? Was One of you rude or cruel to the other? It seems with this reading it is not an end all. There is still potential to work this relationship out.

However, whenever I receive 9 line, I have already tried and can not do much more to influence the relationship or situation. I must hold back or continue on my own path, and allow the other person time and space to come or go when they are ready. Then again, that could be a reflection of your thoughts or feelings on the matter at hand. A lot of times answers or readings reflect our current state when we are anxious and also I noticed when we ask yes or no questions.

Thanks all - I will give her time and space. We still love each other but there were angry words said in the past which she cannot seem to get over.

I think 9 is telling me just carry on with my life and see what happens...
