There is no past of future. When you think about the past you are doing it in the NOW and when you think about the future you are doing it in the NOW. So are you able to let go of the NOW?

I read Yi's answer as no, you shouldn't keep living in the past. Life is change. Not letting go makes you stagnate (hex 12). Instead, you should enjoy the moment you are living now. Go out more, connect with your friends, be open to the world. (hex 58) Hope this helps.
Ones past is their painting, their song, and for all its worth, their legacy. I think it's anybody's guess if there are ribbons to be won in heaven. There may be nothing, zero consciousness. So in a sense, all we possess is our past. Who wants to lose their memory, even the bad ones? They are our lessons, our teachers, and hopefully our friends.
