I get the impression from reading your posts on this thread and elsewhere that you have a personal sense of caution and propriety about what people should and shouldn?t ask the Yi. I respect that and I?m sure it has served you well. So, apologies in advance for turning your quote on its head to make a point.

I often ask the Yi about the future. For example I?ll ask about how I should deal with work tomorrow. Occasionally, I get an advance warning that something unexpected will happen. This is very useful, as it helps me to cope better. As they say, forewarned is forearmed. (And yes, answers can be harder to interpret, however, a few well thought out follow-up questions tend to clarify the situation or at least recommend a course of action.)

I think its fair to say that a large percent of questions that people ask the Yi are questions about the future. And they get answers ? not always that they can understand fully, but I think the Yi tells what it can/should.

What will happen tomorrow?

Although this isn?t a ?big question?, isn?t it still something that ?only God and the angels are privy to?? Normally, people can?t know this.

I think your third sentence there says it all - ?Somebody ought to tell them.? I think (and I admit this is speculation on my part) that at least part of the purpose in the Yi?s creation was to give people opportunity to ask, and possibly be answered, about things that they wouldn?t otherwise be able to know. I think it was part of the reason for the Yi?s creation.

I agree in that I think Yi sort of takes care of itself (and of the querent) in that regard. For example Portakal asked ?Who are you?? to the Yi and got an answer that said, essentially, ?don?t ask that (yet)?.

I would assume this works for readings you do for other people as well, so perhaps it?s wise to let them know not to expect too much, so they aren?t disappointed.

I found the shift in Portakal's English funny - it went from cracked English to perfect street English in the wink of an eye - it made me laugh, so I said 'did you take an English pill?'

I think he thought it was a barb, though - downside of internet communication - maybe I should put in more smileys...
