help with interpretation -about a failed relationship: 31, changing lines 2,3, 6 to 6

Hi,
I got out of a relationship that ended abruptly - by the guy dumping me. He was very confused at the time, did not want to commit to anything (even though I wasn't even at that stage to talk about a committed relationship) and started seeing someone after we parted. The problem is that I cannot forget him. He is an old friend, I always thought we were attracted to each other even years ago, didn't understand what the heck happened and I go from missing him to being angry at him (specially since he was the one who pursued me and then changed his mind)...
I wanted to cast one last time about him and asked if he was gone for me.
What I got was 31 (attraction). With changing lines 2,3 and 6 (I think 3 prevails); changing to 6 (conflict).

Now, can you help me interpret this? Does this describe me - or the situation? That is I can read this as me being still attracted to him (which is true) but if I were to act on it, it would lead to more conflict as he is not interested in me any longer? Or is this describing the situation as it is - that there is attraction but also conflict?

Any comments to help me?

You say you wanted to cast "one last time". Have you asked this question already recently? This seems like the sort of reading you'd get when you've already asked the same question over and over again (in different guises sometimes) and the I ching is reflecting your state of mind, rather than giving you a concrete answer.

Kash, I did ask about this relationship before but it was not "over and over" rather I asked about it few times before while there was more going on between him and myself. It has been at least few weeks since the last time, I try to not cast over and over about the same issues. Whether I asked the same question in a different guise - yes, that could be, though sometimes I am having hard time with the interpretations.

I used the six line method to build a story for your situation. Only the principal you will know more.

Line 3.5 is sibling you metal (#10) and changes into sibling shen metal (#9).
Sibling means a third person, hopefully not him. Away from you because this is line 5.

The day of your reading is yin wood day. Yin wood is the house of spouse. Since chen metal and you metal are the empty 5 elements under the house of spouse. This third person in line 5 is not your spouse equivalent. Rather this person is taking a step back. Shen metal is the movement star. 6.5 is shen metal. The person is leaving the scene.
