Hexagram 63 hard to catch

Hi everyone,
In the past few months i started ask iching some questions like "how i feel today" or "how i feel about this thing/ this person"
To try to discovered on my skin the hexagram i got and how they sound inside of me.
It works! In this way i understand many hex and lines and when i got them in other questions about things or person i feel the sensation inside of me. Hard to put in words, but at least i felt It.

For now, i never get hex 63 about me. I found 63 one of the most evanescent hex. I think i read all the threads i found but, don't know why, i still can't catch It. Maybe the taoist's meaning of After complention Is too far away for my occidental brain.

Someone can help? How do you feel when you get 63?

That's an interesting way to go about it, Tutto. I don't get actual sensations like that, that I've ever noticed, not for 63 anyway.

I remember Hilary suggesting trying to connect with things physically, though. For instance, acting out the lines of 31. Bouncing on your toes for 31.1 and so on.

...and drumming the lines on your skin, 2 beats for broken yin line, one longer beat for yang line. Tapping the sound out to get a feel for the hexagram. There was someone who drummed it out I recall Hilary talking about that

Have you ever thought about doing the experiment of putting a small utensil with water on the fire to heat it?...
The experience would be to gauge the fire in such a way to have the maximum activity in the water, without it boiling too much and putting out the fire.
This balance point would be the point where everything is properly balanced, stable in this dynamic of giving the maximum possible, neither too much nor too little, in this "momentary balance".

There is another way to feel the hexagram, but not directly using the elements fire and water.

...but more connected to the clarity of perception and the sensation of danger in a situation of attempting balance...the two trigrams that compose hexagram 63.

-You need a roller and a platform, where you will try to balance yourself...almost like a circus act...and it is in this search for balance that you will naturally feel the direct and simultaneous combination of clarity of perception and the sensation of danger.
With this experience, you can feel in yourself in a very direct way the sensation of how ephemeral balance is...the small adjustments allowed in this constant search with "clarity of perception" and "attentive danger" always present and united as one...
...and it also becomes clear when you cannot achieve balance...major unbalanced upheavals, high danger, and reduced clarity of perception in what you are doing.

Personal experience with 63... depends on moving lines, of course, but very often (especially unchanging) it's telling me that things are already underway: the train has left the station (don't fall asleep and miss your stop), the stew is cooking (don't get distracted and forget to stir it), and maybe that decision I think I'm contemplating is already taken after all.

I'm not sure if this responds to what you're asking, but I'll give it a try.

Hexagram 63 has always come with a very specific landscape in my mind that I can put myself into and feel how it is to sit there.

Sometimes hexagrams evoke feelings without images or a kind of overall sensation in the body, etc. And for me Hexagram 63 is a landscape, very literally.

I've just forded the river and it's behind me. I'm sitting on the sandy bank maybe 30 feet from the shore. There's a meadow and a forest beyond it. I have the sense of an exhale, whew, I made it across. And I'm looking around me, taking stock of what I came with. Stuff is a bit strewed around and I have the sense that some things need to stay there and be left behind and some things cannot be.

There are various ways forward and I know I need to make some choices about that, but I do get to sit here for a few minutes and catch my breath and to take in my new surroundings without any particular agenda. I don't get to camp here and there's no sustained rest here, but still, there's this relief at having made it this far.

So in my body there's this exhale as well as this pull forwards that has some energy and curiosity about it.

When I get 63 sometimes I'll just sit quietly for a bit and picture myself sitting there in that landscape without thinking mentally about which path translates into what action, just letting the feeling of the place soak in.

Hilary i see that maybe your interpretation Is the One most near at the original meaning.

Catela Is very interesting how u feel 63. I never felt like this.

I have another questione. It's possibile that the hex have different meaning for different person?
Example with hex 63, i feel near Breakmov .
But i know that Hilary and Catela are also true for them self. So maybe for everyone of us can exist a "original meaning " and a personal meaning.

At the end... I speak with i ching and i have to learn him language but maybe he learn mine and to send me a message he choose an hex that works for me.

Absolutely, exactly - that's how it works. Of course there is always a balance to be found between 'personal meaning' and 'original meaning', but yes, readings happen somewhere between the two!
