Where can I go to recover and create inner peace within myself long term and Yi's answer, 55 unchanging.

Abundance unchanging is usually a reference to one feeling or being overwhelmed from what I've read.

As an answer of a place to recover/for inner peace... King Wen went to a garrison city which I understand is where troops and soldiers live. Hopefully I did not make this translation up or mix it up with another story? There is actually a few towns in our country where soldiers live. I'm currently temporarily living with an ex soldier.

This would make sense as advice for me to create more boundaries and guard myself better so that I recover and regain some inner peace ...

I've been thinking of being on my own away from the stresses of work and family life for a while... Trying to find solutions to end the ongoing stress and turmoil of balancing so many things in these challenging and uncertain times.

Anyone see additional advice or something else in this cast?

Thank you in advance.

55 says don't mourn, be like the sun- well, we can't always.

Some translations say "Take advantage of the sun at noon" (Cleary). Maybe go to a sunny place for a while? Of course you live in a coastal area if I remember correctly, so the sun shouldn't be hard to find for you.

Then the image says " The superior man judges lawsuits and imposes punishments." (Liu). It may refer to a suppressed feeling of anger & punishment which should be released. I don't know. I consider the anger a very legitimate feeling.

In short, I find it hard myself to relax & enjoy myself when the outer situations go wrong; so don't have any special experience on the matter, and hexagram 55 isn't easy to interpret either. That said, I hope you find this post helpful.🍀

55(uc) is not the time to medidate, recreate, be compassionate.
It is a time to conquer the situation by gaining clarity and so gaining the power to decide and make (hard) judgements. Time to face what life has put on one’s plate and deal with it, growing stronger with each step and each decision guided by strengthening convictions and inner values. Setbacks included. This is also how to mourn. Progressing clarity will release you.

In other words: the only way out of this is the way through..... and it may happens fast.

All the best , you are for sure strong enough.

”... living with an ex soldier”
Hex 55 is signposting mourning, including traumatic experience and also PTSD.
If this applies, you need to start from here to help yourself.

What fallada said.
Do now, rest later.
The prince in hex 55 powers through it.

Alternatively, you could go to a dinner theatre for one nights recreation.
