the EU /Euro Zone are in quite some situation now and it seems that democracy takes a back seat more and more to a point where it almost doesn't exist anymore in certain political procedures ... So I asked the Ching:

Will we get our national democracies back?

and the Ching replied 55. 2.4.6 > 26


this answer of the Ching overwhelms me I have to say cos there many ways of reading 3 changing lines

a) consider all changing lines

b) only consider the middle one of 3 changing

c) go from hexagram a to hexagram b and ignore the lines



so what did the Ching say as an answer to my democracy question??

Because of 55's association with eclipse and tragedy, I'd think not. Even if the union were to return to nation states, there will be less democracy because strong leaders will be needs to deal with the economic chaos.

But the 55 is changing in 2.4.6 ... and turn into 26 ..do we not have to consider that??

I did consider it. I read Judgment, Image, and line text of 55 and then Judgment and Image of 26. For example, the Judgment of 26 says,

Not eating at home brings good fortune.
It furthers one to cross the great water.

This suggested to me emigration from troubled countries as has happen already.

But why the "yes" or "no" question?

Why not ask, "What do we need to do in order to get our democracy back"? or "What needs to happen in order to get our democracy back"? or "What needs to happen in order to have the best political system for everyone in Europe?" and "What can an individual/small group do to help with that?"
