For those who read Chinese and are interested in spending some money to get it. I fell in love with it but I'm on a self imposed moratorium for eBay items...

Can someone from US, Canada or UK please bid for me? He will only accept from these countries. BAD people us in the rest of the world!
My e-mail address is in my profile.

Thanks,

LiSe, I'll keep an eye on it. It has no bids yet and there's a few days to go. Generally there's a couple of test bids (people testing the demand) and then it all breaks loose in the last 15 minutes before the auction ends. Let me know what your highest bid limit is and we?ll work it out.

I reacted on the old Yi rather impulsively. It looked lovely, and I am very susceptible for gems. Especially when they have an important place in my life.
But since yesterday I got a night's sleep, and now a new morning with new ideas, and I don't think I am going to do it. It is still a lovely thing, but it feels as if would do no good. When one tries to make an Yi oneself, it does not help to look at a perfect one. On the contrary, I have a battered up copy of my own, with pencil marks all over, pages falling out, new texts pasted over the old ones. It goes with me wherever I go, and losing it would be a lot worse than losing an antique bamboo one. So obviously that one is the real gem for me.

Several people offered to bid for me. I mailed to every one of course, but here again: Thanks!!
Candid, found your message when I came here. Thank you too!

I got the old Yi!

Candid insisted that I bid on it. He said it belonged with me. He would do it for me.
One bid was enough, and I have it now for the original ?100.

It was fun. I had to get up in the middle of the night, in my pajamas, to follow the bidding. Waiting anxiously for the other bidders. Nobody!

Luis and Candid, and the others who offered their help too, thanks!!!
