I find, not only this parallel but also, the similarities in appearance of some South-American ethnic groups and some Chinese ethnic groups interesting.

Indeed, they are very likely closely related.
Someone noticed they produced the same variety of ear wax. (As opposed to the Afro/Euro kind)
Someone else noticed the pattern of basket weaving along the western coast of South America is the same as Polynesian patterns.(and unlike the rest of the continent)
So, in addition to the Siberian "land bridge',
People crossed the Pacific in small boats.

In my area, The Great Lakes, last year DNA analysis of the largest 'mother' tribe showed that Seafaring Europeans made it here and bred with the Algonquins & others long before Cortez and Columbus.

We are all one Family.

Besides that, the Quipu's were used by the Inca's in South America up to the 15' century and are said to be used by the ethnic minority group, the Miao's, in China *) up to the beginning of the nineteenth century - I haven't heard about the use of them anywhere else.
Or, have I missed something?
