Hilary has recently posted a very interesting review of Freeman Crouch's 'The Chameleon Book', a snappy translation of the Yi with extensive notes. I think a lot of people, especially Zhouyi history junkies, would enjoy taking a good look at Freeman's work.

As Hilary mentions, the book is available in low-tech, last-century, paper-and-ink book form from Brazos Media, but Freeman has also made his work available to everyone on the web free of charge via Google Books. A generous man. Here's the link: http://books.google.com/books?id=J-...ouch&sig=5qYxZRNSbpk-geBMyh9hDA1mzdE#PPA41,M1

When you read Hilary's review, you're definitely going to want to check out 'The Chameleon Book'. It's a wild ride!

Link really works, you can read all the book.

A sample from Hex. 39:

«Jian / Hobbled
Hobbled. Favorable for west and south.
Not favorable for east and north.
Favorable to see the great people.
Make reading. auspicious.»

For Freeman SouthWest = Zhou homeland, great people = Zhou people.
