hope your special day turns out to be as marvelous in every way as you are to this board.

i wanted to give you something that would mean something to you - so i closed my eyes and concentrated on you - i asked the universe to direct me to what you needed to "know" the most at this time and then pulled out "The Unknown Reality: Volume 2" by Jane Roberts from my bookshelf. i opened it to the following passage on pg 721 - sincerely hope it strikes a meaningful chord in you
happy.gif

Jane was particularly bothered by people's attitudes about Seth, for they often considered him as a "spirit guide" in conventional spiritual terms. Though almost eight years had passed since Seth had first come through, she'd known for some time that she wanted to explore the phenomenon more deeply. Jane believed Seth when he told us he was an "energy personality essence, no longer focused in physical reality" --she just wanted to know more about what he meant by that statement. She was certain, she wrote, that far more than Seth's being a spirit guide was involved, that "in larger terms the abilities of living personality are connected with... other facets of creative consciousness."

best wishes, with lots of love and of course lots of

Dharma, what I wonderful idea! I hope you don?t mind if I follow your example.

Shelly, I opened up a file where I keep a mish mosh of ramblings. Some are mine and some I?ve just heard somewhere along the way. I treasure them because they seem to lift my spirit whenever I open the box and take one out to read. Here is the one I chose for you:

?The awakened have come to realize that there is never any need to change what they are or what they see----only the way they see it. And so they come to take on the quality of water, which is soft and pliant yet irresistible in its power, which does not strive yet benefits all beings. By their unselfish actions others are transformed; through their detachment the whole world prospers; owing to their desirelessness others are left unspoiled.?

Happy Birthday, Shelly!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHELLEY!!!!

May you have a wonderful day and a fantastic year. Lots and Lots of LOVE and Hugs. Now, remember to be very careful when dancing with that teapot on your head, you never know where that dern Luis is with his infernal digital camera. He is probably semi-retired papparazzi!

Following the above examples, I did some meditation on you and opened the Yi randomly to the following:

Book III, The Commentaries, pg. # 373

"The movement of heaven is full of power.
Thus the superior woman/man makes her/himself strong and untiring."
The doubling of the hexagram Ch'ien, the Creative, gives the image of powerful and constantly repeated movement. The doubling suggests that one draws strength from within oneself, and that after each action a new one follows, without cease.

Have a wonderful, happy day with warmest wishes.

Going with the flow, here is a couple of verses from the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. I have this book in my office and opened it at random. Here is what came up:

I sent my Soul through the Invisible,
Some Letter of that After-life to spell:
And by and by my Soul return'd to me,
And answer'd "I Myself am Heav'n and Hell:"

Heav'n but a Vision of fulfill'd Desire,
And Hell the Shadow from a Soul on fire,
Cast on the Darkness into which Ourselves,
So late emerged from, shall so soon expire.

I hope it doesn't sound too gloomy. Personally, I think is beautiful.

All the best in your day,

Luis

Leonard,

I, for once, am "imageless". Tried to find a picture of a teapot on somebody's head but could not. Short of asking my better half to break some fine china on my head, with the camera on self timer and a fast shutter on standby, I decided to pass on that one...

You are not out of the woods though. I'm watching your every move. When you least expect it, CLICK! and to the Clarity's tabloid...

Happy Birthday, Shelley!

Now this one really is so random I've never read it before, but thank you so much for having a birthday so I opened the book!

"Wild air, world-mothering air,
Nestling me everywhere,
That each eyelash or hair
Girdles; goes home betwixt
The fleeciest, frailest-flixed
Snowflake; that's fairly mixed
With, riddles and is rife
In every least thing's life..."

(Gerard Manley Hopkins)

Have a wonderful day and may your teapots dance exuberantly all year

Oh, you beautiful people! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I started celebrating with my beloved on Thursday night, spent yesterday in London 'doing culcher': we finally got around to visiting Tate Modern, followed by the National Gallery (to look at some 'proper' pictures!) then met up with some very special friends for a wonderfully authentic Indian meal in a completely veggie restaurant. It brought back great memories of our two trips to India and it was soooo nice to be presented with a menu all of which was available to us.

We spent the night at our friends' place & just got home where I find all these beautiful presents waiting for me! My Ting runneth over.

You've given me so much to think about. Special thanks to you, Dharma for the initial idea. Thank you to eveybody else who took the time to hold me in your thoughts with such love and thanks to Val for being non-conformist & giving us all a good laugh. I think no.9 is my favourite, too

.

And I still have tonight to look forward to, as we'll be out partying with a whole bunch of lovely people until noon tomorrow, at least! I feel immensely loved, cherished and secure. Hey, being 45 is GREAT!

Love and
