Hilary,

I saw the topic gives us the hexagram for year and month. I am wondering if the course will also give us the day and hour hexagram.

For example right now is Monday 11 Jan 2010 at 9:55 AM in solar calendar is the
27 Nov the year of the Buffalo at the Snake hour in Lunar Calendar

Which is the hexagram #7 with the changing 4th line to become the hexagram #40

I will not cover the daily hexagrams because I first need to figure out how the 30 days that you calculate from a month hexagram fit in a solar month, which can be 29-32 days.

For the 'hour' calculations the day is divided in 100 ke 刻, and I am still studying that. Once I am certain about the calculations for the day and hour hexagrams I'll add these to an advanced course.

I do not use the lunar calendar because I find it too artificial with its intercalary months and all the changes that it had throughout the centuries.
