hexagram 51.3.6

hello everyone,

I need some help with this reading.

Briefly, it is a long, long story between a girl and I. We were in a relationship for 4.5 years that finished not in the best way it could have done. After years without talking each other we met again and decided to try to start a new friendship.

So I decided to ask the I-ching: What should I do with her now?, and I got this answer: 51.3.6 leading to 30.

May someone give me some light with this answer?

I see in 53.3 that this is or was a devastaing situation to you , I guess you need to think about the reasons why and the path that perhaps put you where you are or were like the choices that were made in the relationship
53.6 i pick up a confused type of state and maybe others are involved talking from experience they could be people you confide in maybe your mates saying dont go there but ia m only guessing
The line also advises on taking a deep breath and trying to find some clarity in the confusion
So again i would not rush things mate, move slow to get the best result

i think its one of those situations where u both need to take a step back from each other to a degree
and really look at why you are where you are, take the lead and do it first, gentle gentle dont rush
Simplify things.

Was it hexagram 53 or 51? I thought I read 51. Line 3 & 6 of hexagram 51 do turn to 30. I gather this event of meeting, and/or reuniting is a somewhat "shocking" turn of events. What i gather from this, and it is not so set in stone, just what I see, is, that you allow this shocking turn of events to set forth much mental activity re this situation. I suspect that the events of the past are a precursor to events of the future unless you mull them over deeply in your own mind, discover the errors of the past, and make the necessary changes.

Hexagram 30 is clinging, radiance, and light. In one aspect, that meaning goes without saying. Or was there an excessive "clinging" in times past? That is what you have to determine. Can what happened in the past be overcome? Or is it time for a new point of departure?

Gene, it was 51, not 53. It was a really difficult reading. Situation has improved since then, and by now, even though we keep an eye on each other, we are getting along with this new friendship. Last time I asked the IChing about what my doings should be i received 64.4, a meaningful line that talks about past mistakes and the starting point to base the future.

Let's see what happens next...

You are right! As I told in the the introdutory post, we finished our previous relationship in very, very bad way. This makes us to take this new approach in a very careful way.

Certainly, none of my friends understand how I really talk to her again after all we went through and the way we finished. But it has been a long time since them, and we both have passed many different experiences. I thought I should give it a try to be friends. Who knows...

I think your reading bodes well for the future. The shake-up serves you well and regardless of whether others approve/understand or not, you and she seem to have something to share.
