I think the Yi, on some level, touches on the adventures of spirit entities as they...move through the world. I see it in #24.1, and #45.6, and other places.

Bruce asked me to elaborate on how I see this in 24.1

Finding (means of) renewal (from the materials) close at hand is a message of Line. 1: {bu4 yuan3 fu4’} And as it says in the Judgment, to be mobile around the focus of renewal is healthy {chu1 ru4 bu4 ji2}. It's healthy because you work in the force field around that point of renenwal.

One needs to spread a little life-force into the materials in the vicinity, to let the site of renewal be hospitable. 24 is about the force that comes in and animates something, and this is a rule of thumb it works by.

It often happens that a phrase in the Judgment is linked to a similar phrase in a key line. Maybe that’s the case here, though ‘moving in and out without pathology’ and ‘renewal not from afar’ are two sides of the matter. Another example is ‘worthwhile to set up fiefdoms’ in both Judgment and First Yang of #3.]

Castle Rock has an awesome shape! I can see renewal happening around that. I recently visited Red Rock Canyon outside of Las Vegas. Warm-looking reddish rock, and organic curves and veined with clefts to offer any number of handholds. Even someone with no skill at climbing can do it and feel the accomplishment. Wasn't ready to climb it, but I envied the small figures I saw near the top. I hope to go back and make the climb.

Regards,

Denis M.
