39.Obstruction changing to 18.Corruption.
39.2 The king's servant is faced with obstruction.
So not Pence...
39.5 In the midst of greatest obstruction friends come.
Hmm...someone with a devoted cult-like following?
39.6 Going leads to great good fortune. It furthers one to see the great man.
It looks like someone who thinks only he can solve the country's problems will throw his hat in the ring...

18. Someone who thinks they can "stir up the people and strengthen their spirit"? Or someone who is simply the personification of corruption?

Anyway, this looks to me like the hexagrams are referencing Trump, giving us a clue by saying, "The Republican nominee will be someone who claims they were previously Obstructed from being able to serve because that election was Corrupt."

But I just have a hard time believing Trump will be nominated. Could these lines be saying that due to corruption the true nominee is obstructed?

The Republican nominee for president will be a person who will have to, in his campaign, run though and deal with fields strewn with corruption and pestilence (18). He will be severely hampered by the historical difficulties (39) he has to face and will find that he is going to have to reinvent himself to get people to believe that he is worthy of the position of president.

39.2 - he is going to have to rein in his ego and connect more with the needs of the people
39.5 - his strategy of humble accord may not be completely successful but his determination to speak his truth and his approach will attract a running mate.
39.6 - sticking strongly to his guns, together they will bring about a ripening of his political appeal and a fine harvest to ensue that he wins the nomination,
