Why All About Love?

I joined here because I had a question about a particular reading. Did not post it, though. I do look up the readings I get about various subjects because I am just learning, but almost always what I see when I look up a particular reading has to do with love (have I met my soulmate, is he right for me, when will I find my lover, should we break up already, he is on another continent, can we work it out, will we ever meet again). I just want to find out things like, for instance, should I move to this new apartment, should I take up this new work, how can I earn the money to visit my son, how can he earn it to visit me, should I find another doctor, how can I advise my granddaughter about her new world. Yes, I'm older, but this place has been here for a long time. Where are the other topics? Sorry, please forgive me, bit of a rant. Also sorry if I've posted to the wrong area.

Hehe. I'm not crazy about most of the relationship questions we see here either, but what can you do?! That seems to be an area about which most people feel a lot of confusion, so that's what they ask about!

Mind you, looking at the current list of questions on Shared Readings, there do seem to be a lot of questions that are pretty much exactly like the ones you prefer. Just scrolling down, I can see should I change my job, move to Berlin, apartment search and so on. Granted, those are all sandwiched between the love stuff, but so what? They are there.

Maybe you should just post your question. No need to worry about what questions other people ask, that's their business.

There's loads of other topics that people post about - you can see that just by looking at the latest posts in SR.

Also you won't find out about your questions/answers just by reading old threads so it's better just to post your question.

Yes there are wide ranging topics shown in Shared Readings. Some topics will not resonate with some people as being important enough matters for consulting Yi.

Relationship is at the core of the human condition.
All questions are inevitably about relationship. Relationship with where I live; relationship with my job; relationship with money; relationship with family; relationship with my health; relationship with my GP; relationship with my past; relationship with my future and particularly my relationship with me and with my relationship with the unknown or not knowing.

Enquiries about love, soulmates and all things connected are perfectly valid enquiries based in relationship.

If all you see is love and soulmate questions then something to consider is to be the change you want to see. Post your queries about your son, your doctor, your new appartment and change the overwhelming flavour that you taste in Shared Readings.

I'd also support Trojina when she speaks of surfing old threads. The best way to find meaning for you in your unique situation would be to make your own best interpretation of your enquiry. Then if things are still unclear post in Shared Readings what you have understood and what is still eluding you.

I think Open Space is the best and most appropriate place to have a good old RANT.
