Moving Old Entries into Folders

I have started creating what I call 'Holding Folders' where as sub entries I can place together in one folder entries relating to such things as 'Family', 'Health' etc.

I can add subentries easily after the 'Holding Folder' has been created (right click on folder and click create sub entry) but I am unable to find a way to move pre-existing entries that I had already created, for say 'Family', retrospectively into that one overarching folder.

What magic tricks or gizmos does anyone know of that will help me with this?

Many Thanks

No magic tricks, sorry. (Actually, I can't even find how you are creating new folders!) This is something I would do with tags, so that then things are easily accessible via the tag cloud - and of course can belong under more than one heading, as I find readings often do.

Hi Hilary
I have been creating a Looseleaf entry titled e.g. Family as a 'Holding Folder'. I give it a title and say 'Holding Folder' in the text and then save it. Creating subentries once the folder has been created.

If there are no magic tricks then I will have to use the tags. My mind is very much 'old school filing cabinet' oriented so folders seem way more natural for me.

Life is full of so many heart breaking set backs. I'm sure I'll survive this one.

Thanks
