Hay everyone,

ongoing boy troubles- how original!

I asked, what should my position be regarding this situation now?

44 3.4 to 59

When i looked at Chris Loftings XORing process, he pairs these hexagrams as 'overacting to establish unconditional loyalty''

Does that mean uncondtional loyalty to the overall meaning of hex 44? Or something else entirely?

also, these lines seem very contradictory to me, in the usual sense of readings. If anyone can tell me what Yi suggests i would be most greatfull..

Thanks!

Maybe the boy is contradictory? Line 2. A fish, methinks, is party food, yet this fish isn't to be shared. A Barmecide feast. Line 3. You are making painful progress. You are, I suppose, the strong one in the relationship, so what gets dispersed? The Image says 'the kings of old sacrificed to the Lord and built temples'. If you aren't into building temples, could you get the guy into church? Or maybe into a religious activity?

Pocossin- yeah he is super flakey...we bonded over religion, or a feeling that this was destined- a kind of higher love. Of course giant dreams dont really manifest in reality without some basic foundations and trust, and those things have become very unstable.

I just asked what is the ultimate path for me and this guy - hex 37 unchanging

then i asked will i bear his children and got hex 37 unchanging again

dont really hold much faith in that seeing as im projecting into a distant future- but this whole thing is so contradictory its very hard to get to the bottom of things

Thanks

Why is line 2 relevant to this answer? I don't get it

Yes you do, Riurik. I made a mistake. I seem to be mistake prone nowadays in spite of all my checking. And anyway, I like line 2 with its rich meanings. Thank God I didn't go Freudian as is commonly done with hexagram 44. So never mind! You aren't going to hold every little mistake against me, are you? This is doing me good, because I am planning to offer instruction in divination and need examples of how to recover from mistakes:) And may I add that in divination imo nothing is out of bounds. But let's just move on to line 4.

Nine in the fourth place means:
No fish in the tank.
This leads to misfortune.

See, no fish, no party. Being without the fish is not a good thing. So what does the fish symbolize in Yxeli's relationship? I am reminded of the story of the 5000 being fed with five loaves of bread and two fish (Matthew 14:13-21). So again, move to a higher spiritual level in the relationship. Hey, I see that Yxeli pretty much say it herself: "we bonded over religion". I did have something right.

44.3.4 Making progress in your relationship is uncomfortable right now, but working on it is the right thing to do. But if you don't meet each other halfway, you won't even be friends later on should you breakup.

59 A common shared experience, something outside yourselves you both feel deeply about and are in accord about could help thaw the ice between you, and help get your hearts talking again, get you both to let each other in again.
