The situation is long winded and very complicated, too much to write, i'd be here awhile if i tried to explain it all

I have gotten this line before regarding this relationship though so obviously the lesson of the line hasnt sunk in yet...

it is simply saying that my revolution, my molting process (of awareness about this situation ) is at the beginning and so I shouldnt act?

I am guessing here, but perhaps yi is telling you that the most important thing you should know is that you cannot do much about the situation now, so perhaps wait as comfortably as you can, do what you can, but no more. Change is at foot...sorry, I am not an expert, cannot go deeper than this.
