Hi all

I asked as usual what do i need to know about work this week, quite allot going on ( my product launch) and some other things as well, the response was not really what I expected at all,

Some of the lines I am familiar with, some not, line 5.6 doesnt seem positive at first, its quite a strange line. Describing something unexpected then some kind of help i was reading some threads on it everyone seems to have quite different experiences with it.
The reading in general seems to me to be about being very patient, not sure what this could mean for the week ahead, it all leads to 27, I have to be honest I am not sure what this all about.

As you said, there seems to be a lot going on.
Obviously you are eagerly awaiting (5) your product launch (good luck with it!).

There will be an initial problem which you will underestimate (5.2).
Things will then look more severe and will get stuck - there's even mention of an enemy (5.3).
However, you still won't consider it as very serious (5.5), things will appear to be going well.
In the end it will become obvious that you will need to ask for help (5.6).

27 speaks of a specific need - something lacking, something you need. Because of 5.6 I believe you'll get it, but only if you call out for help. 5.6 describes someone stuck in a pit - there are no visitors (as this person can't be seen) - so the stuck person needs to call out, just in case an accidental passer-by can help them. Now that I wrote this, I'm wondering if the need will be a marketing need - your product will not be "seen" enough? Maybe this will not be it, but check visibility just in case.

I know I mentioned the product but thats just one thing, I asked about that and received 19 unchanging, so my question was more general i suppose, its sounds like not a good week really.

I cant see any of the things being mention, there is a possibility of waiting for money, 5.3 is better that 5.4 but I wonder what could be an enemy that could effect my work.

My understanding of 5.6 in general is more that things look bleak but then they turn out ok, however like i said people have.different experiences with this line.
I havent got clarity on this as yet, the Yi does this allot with my readings like when things seem bleak i get a positive reading, when things seem ok I get something along these lines almost a warning.
Could you add anything now that i have replied and thanks for your response.

The product, 19, it's obviously approaching, but also 19 denotes getting to work to avoid future pitfalls.

The enemy that could be affecting your work - no idea. The character means "bandit, robber", who arrives because someone is stuck in mud (mud = something old?). I don't know how all this could apply to your particular business, but according to this line someone will steal something from you.

5. Waiting emphasizes the importance of maintaining a positive open attitude while waiting.
5.2 While waiting you may find yourself prone to chit-chat and mumble about all the the loose ends and possibilities of what might go wrong.
5.3 This could cause you to scare yourself to the point you become worried and stuck wondering should I go forward, should I go back?
5.5 Says don't focus on what might go wrong, focus on what's good. Enjoy yourself.
5.6 As a result of your turning off the worry machine and taking a bit of time to just chill you no longer are seeing everything life brings as a potential problem - now you see life is bringing you opportunities!

Hi Rosada

You must have ESP i was reading some old threads and there was some you were giving advise on in relation to Hexagram 5,

5.3 you were saying could be like getting bogged down emotionally, so the robbers can be things that rob you of feeling good or cloud your mind etc , as Diamanda says it can be literal and to be honest i have actually experienced that with that line, i lost some money online,

however according to the question and having a little on my mind this week, your reading is making sense. In my notes I simply put "stay positive in case things don't pan out the way I expect". I can now add to that.
When I did a reading on my new product launch and got hex 19 unchanging it gave me a much better feeling so maybe i need to really focus in that area as much as possible.

27 is making more sense as well in the fact of nourishing what will make me happy regarding work. So the advise i gave myself was ok or i was getting there,
so by staying positive the outcome should be ok. Before i got clarity I also asked do I need to be concerned this week and received 28.2.5>62, so this was talking about unusual circumstances that turn out well leading to 62, pay attention to detail.

Possibly there could be something unexpected however the reading again is suggesting stay positive it will work out or should do if the advise is followed, so i need to stay positive no matter what. Like you say depends on which wolf I feed.
27 is allot more clearer and important.

Hello

Just updating the outcome, not very good week at all really very average, it was a case of really trying to stay positive there were allot of ups and downs as the lines suggested, the one curious thing was that some software i was using i belived i had a free month turned out to be not the case. so that was kind of like something being taken from me hence line 3.
There were a couple of small wins at the end of the week, i think they may have been relating to line 6.
To be honest everything turned out to be like the lines said, not much progress mainly waiting for things and a small loss. I have found an alternative to the loss of the software so its not the end of the world.

Thanks for the update! I particularly value it because I've not understood the "One falls into the pit " part of 5.6. Now I wonder I think I get it.

One falls into the pit. - You lose the software.
Three uninvited guests arrive. - The alternative to the loss, not exactly what you had invited but...
Honor them, and in the end there will be good fortune. - you accept it and it works out.

So maybe the general interpretation of the line could be, "Yeah, there are some difficulties a head but keep an eye out for opportunities and all should work out okay."

I think about how 5.5 encourages one to eat drink and be merry rather than to focus on fears and what you cannot change. I had thought of this line as being like something out of The Law of Attraction and assumed that it meant of one were to focus on the good the everything becomes good. But 5.6 and the falling into the pit along with the promise of the three uninvited guests suggests to me that the I Ching is pointing out that while focusing on the good will indeed bring in positive opportunities, the negative manifestations created by previous negative visualizations will still appear - so don't be surprised or give up but keep on focusing on the new opportunities you are now manifesting. In other words, the old bad negative thoughts will still manifest as things as thoughts become things is natural law, but we don't have to stay stuck in the negative when there are new understandings/ opportunities to honor.

Yes i would say thats pretty accurate, I can see that now in 5.6 the other software is less superior but will do the job for now, so at least i can keep going. So i would say by 5.3 the actual bad news then 5.6 is what that led to and 5.6 is in fact auspicious, its line 4 I am not real big on and at least i skipped that. Line 4 reminds me of being outside in heavy rain with no shelter, what do you do but get soaked. Line 5 has always been easy for me to understand, i literally will buy things i like to eat or drink if the week is not very exciting or i am going through a phase like that. Just try to make the most of the situation, so yes line 6 can mean you will find an alternative or solution to what may not be a very good situation.

Its interesting how the Yi predicted this to a degree, you can get glimpes into the future sometimes, I think the Yi may take the present and make a pattern and advise on that,

Saying that you have no idea what the events are going to be , i could have foreseen none of that.

PS the one thing i should add is in this series of lines is that keeping positive in general is highly important, the weight on 27 should not be ignored , morale should be kept as high as possible, as you ride the roller coaster,
