Hello, i need some help in reading answers i got from the IC concerning a long term friendship which was broken about 3 years ago.It involved a bad row about our daughters(who had also become friends) which made the relationship end with a double big bang.She told me she couldn't see the possibility of a continuation. It was painful at that time , i remember.Although we have seen each other on some occasions in the meantime, nothing has substantially changed the situation.Some days ago i heard from her mother that she's been thinking of inviting us for Christmas this year.

I asked IC about her feelings and got hex 50 which seems to indicate a pure heart.

I asked what consequences would there be if i trusted her again and resumed friendship. I got 1.3.5 >38
And again got stuck, couse it seems to say it's gonna be ok, line 5 talks about "Things that accord in tone vibrate together.Things that have affinity in their inmost natures seek one another" But line 3 talks about "temptations" and not being affected by them

and what about the relating hex 38 Opposition? Should it reflect the situation until now, our opposition for those 3 years or a possible unfortunate outcome? Personally i wouldn't say it is the outcome ,rather the background , the status quo of the relationship, cause i couldn't find really negative signs or evident omens in all those answers.A bit afraid of wishful thinking here again ,though.
On the whole i would be very pleased to be able to read it as" creative opposition" , but don't know if this wouldn;t be too far fetched. I', too involved to be objective here .

So , asked the IC about the picture of the relationship after her new idea nad got 11.2>36 , and again there's the question if 36 shows really the possible further development (the light will be concealed) or the background or current status ( we have been concealing our light so far).

So, i thought "three times lucky" and cast a tiebreaking question:
What is her position in this situation (towards me)?
I got 52.1.5>37

Seems to indicate moore explicitly her caution and growing seriousness in attitude leading to sth more structured between us. Am i right?

Line 1.3 suggests that you will be very worried at the beginning but if you know what to expect then you can be prepared for any eventualities.

Line 1.5 suggests a bonding together.

Hex 38 There are certainly differences of opinion that now lie between you but with some talk and discussion even these can be overcome.

Basically it tells you to disregard any nonsense on her part as she may end up talking silliness, so just let her do it and therefore not upset the relationship by showing how you really feel. Sometimes one has to just let fools have their say and be done with it, hopefully they will see, or at least someone else will point out the errors of their mouth.

Looks quite good, thank you, but, unfortunately (?) in the meantime we have exchanged some icebreaking mails and i happened to let a bit of my feelings show (as usual), thinking real friendship was for those things.I told her i still held a bit of grudge but was looking forward to a reunion ,in any possible version ( i mean:as the opposition will probably take some time to dissolve).I didn't get an answer so far. So, sensitive as the situation has presented itself so far,i asked IC whether the picture has changed in any way, what does she want now?

Gradual progress talks about peace and concord and the will of sharing it with kindred souls in line 2, and i feel it confirms your take, Willowfox, that after some obstacles and the standstill have been overcome (due to falsehood of certain people), missunderstandings will manage to be claryfied and union gradually achieved.All in the context of "fixing" the relationship.

I just kept thinking of those oppositions , and wondered what to expect (line 2 of hex 11 talks about tolerating insults), and asked about my position in the relatioship>
I got 61.4.5>38 Inner Truth going to Opposition (again).I interpreted line 4 ( the teamhorse goes astray, keep on your track) as an ecouragement to do just what i feel is right in this matter , disregarding the other party, so to speak (sounds like i did the right thing havig told her what i have).Line 5 is even better, as it talks about a personality that has the strength to keep all elements together.

In such a case can i interpret the relating hex 38 as a sign that the opposition you mentioned still having to be discussed between us will be dissolved by being as truthfull to myself as possible? Or will it trigger more opposing situations? Have i ground to worry now?

She basically wants to be friends, she has had nobody to natter to for 3 years, so now she needs the relationship to be repaired.

Don't forget, many times people in the wrong don't actual believe that they were the ones who made the initial mistake. That is why I suggested that you humour her in my other answer, let her think that she is an angel for the sake of peace.
