"...in answer, probably, to some question relating to the romantic inclinations of one or the other of us"
Does not seem to augur well for their romantic lives, does it?

Not at that moment and in that sorority environment. Surprised that with all those signs she actually opted for "blame". :)

Hi, Hilary:

May Blofeld forgive that blog!

The author says that had Blofeld, but we see some mingled ideas from different sources, not only Blofeld, of course.

Accessing the page, Blogspot warned me about possible adult content, but I saw little of adult and much of rude.

Remembering Blofeld:
H.44: CONTACT (SEXUAL INTERCOURSE, MEETING, etc.)

44.2: There is fish in the bag - no error! But itis of no advantage to the guests (4) COMMENTARY: This implies that we are not dutiful to our guests.

___________
(4) There is a danger that we shall fail to share an advantage with people who have a right to expect a share.

Blofeld: The Book of Change, pages 172-173

The Fishy I Ching story quotes:

"A fish in the bag, no error" and "No fish in the bag, no regret"

The second belongs to 44.4 but Blofeld says another words:

44.4: No fish in the bag - this gives rise to misfortune. COMMENTARY: Misfortune in the sense of being remote from the people.

Blofeld.

The only «regret» in Blofeld belongs to the horny 6th. line:

44.6: ... COMENTARY Regret owing to the complete exhaustion of our powers.

Blofeld.

Maybe that's whay the fish smelt bad even when he was still alive, but that's another story.

All the best,

Charly

One thing I have noticed, every time we talk about 44, she manifests in the discussion.

I once had a close friend with a very 44-like personality, and I deducted that connection around '67 or so. She was also fun to be with, but over the top with everything which enthused her. I could empathize. To add another layer, she tried to seduce me the entire 10+ years as friends. So did my gay business manager. Being cute is bitch bait. Being old and cute is an oxymoron. "Oh, now, don't say that!" I can hear some say. But I'm just trying to lure you into my own 44 world, aren't I. :mischief:

Being old and cute isn't an oxymoron! I know lots of old, cute people. I know one cute old guy who tried to paw at his home health aide. "Bitch bait" he was not, though. she put him in a "time-out" chair:rofl:

Barb, oh, been there, done that don't do that thing, huh? chuckle

But "cute" as in awww, rather than ooooh. And let's not forget that some women just dig older dudes, and it seems a big trend (no pun intended) that younger guys are really diggin' the middle aged chicks, the MLF's. I think this always has been in secret, but has been de-mystified and less feared to express in this age in which we live, which I view as a good thing. So really, I'm quite pro 44, and cheer on the cougars.

I came back to post something else though. Any who know me know my admiration of the work of Joseph Campbell. But little is said about his wife, Jean Erdman Campbell, who was a professional dance theater performer and choreographer. I've seen a bit of her expressive dancing and she was exquisite. And I was thinking how dancers must have mimed the hexagrams at different periods, and what a creative opportunity for a dance group it provides.

"Jean taught me to trust myself as an artist," Lampert said. "To never 'fall in love' with my own work, because it was all disposable and it might all need to change."

"She selected a very diverse and eclectic group of students and forcefully — and I use that word with admiration and gratitude — introduced her ideas as to how we should start to view the world of dance. She brought in dance artists from all forms of dance and from all over the world. ...

This is an example of the potential creativity that I rarely fail to mention regarding hexagram 44. After all, heaven is the upper trigram. What if she did not follow her passion, or in Joe's terms, her bliss? There would be no interpretive dance. Only another slave, bowing before perceived facts.

Hi, Barbara:

What the thing is an oxymoron?

Never's too late for learning something:

Love is a living death
you think you'r passing but you'r really failing the test
Love is so sweet and yet so bitter
its like being cold in the summer and hot in the winter
Love is like a bad lovely day
So when I see love coming I stand aside but I'm still in the way

Maybe with GOU passed like with the GOOD BAD-GIRL of the screen, although the prejudice is strong, PEOPLE LOVE HER.

Of course, LOVE is not always STRONGER than prejudice, but sometimes happens that YES, IT IS.

All the best,
