Dear all

I am a freelance communications expert and I partook in a call for tender with several companies (on different lots). I was told that it was fine when finally it wasn't - blame on me, I did not read the terms of reference. The companies were informed that I was involved with several lots.
Yesterday I received a call from the Anti-Fraud office quoting irregularities in the tender attribution. Normally first-degree problems are resolved at administrative level so now I am really really really freaking out! I am summoned in August to have an interview.

I have asked the I-ching, "please explain to me what is happening", and I received 10.2.4.5 to 27. I think it means that they want to make sure that there have not been irregularities in the award of the tender (somehow hex 27-nourishment for the companies?), therefore they are treading carefully. I do not see anything ominous in this reading.

I have asked then how the situation will affect me. I received hexagram 6.1.2.3.5 changing to 30. This is definitely a very stressful situation. I have some trouble understanding the many reading lines, but somehow I believe they represent different ways that this will be affecting me. I have to understand what happened to draw my boundaries and pledge allegiance to one company only, but this realisation will come through suffering. I have some trouble though understanding line 6.3.

Dear all,

Should I worry?
Is there a follow-up question I should ask, and which?
Thank you for your advice, kindly,

Hi Urbansparrow,

I can feel your concern for the gravity of your situation ~ and I'm glad that you've brought it here to Clarity, too, where you can get the benefit of multiple perspectives?

It looks to me like the end result will be positive, but of course I am not a securities specialist, nor in any way would I claim to be knowledgeable in your field ~ my reading is just my opinion?

From Daniel Young's i-Ching:

"Please explain to me what is happening?"
10.2.4.5 to 27 ~ Did you improperly/deceptively benefit from the tender call?

10. Stepping
Stepping into danger escapes harm. A thankful offering is called for.

2. Walk on the true way. It is smooth and open. The detached person sees good fortune ahead.
4. Stepping into danger with extreme caution eventually leads to good fortune.
5. Danger is forecast even though one steps confidently.

27. Sustenance
The forecast is for good fortune. Pay attention to the method of nourishment and how people sustain themselves.

I read this as "Stay Calm and Carry-On":

~ Accept what is given
~ Do the Right thing
~ Make nothing of it

[wash, rinse, repeat]

"How will the situation affect me?"
6.1.2.3.5 to 30 ~ It will likely cost you some money, in the short term ~ but you can keep your luster, in the long term.

6. Conflict
Overconfidence is an obstacle. Be cautious. The middle is fortunate. The end is not. Seek the advice of a wise person. Do not seek big objectives.

1. Do not pursue the matter. There may be some criticism but the outcome will be fortunate.
2. Immediate withdrawal to secure home ground is correct.
3. Traditional virtues provide strength when the signs show danger. In the end there is good fortune. Work of great importance never ends.
5. The conflict brings great good fortune.

30. Brightness
Profit from the forecast. Make an unselfish offering. Growing things in a balanced way brings good fortune.

What you want to do, imho, is to get out of this situation as cleanly and cooperatively as you can ~ while safely protecting your reputation and career ("Work of great importance never ends?") ~ You'll need the advice of a wise man ~ a lawyer ~ to smooth out your honest mistake?

In summary, passing through a review of your attribution error vis-a-vis the tender offer will reveal you to be a person of good character ~ who made a non-sinister mistake ~ and owned it ~ taking every effort to make it right ~ and seeing that it doesn't happen again?

Lastly, I don't know if this reading will closely fit your situation, or not, but I'm certain that making a Practice of staying calmly rooted in peace ~ no matter what ~ can only benefit you?

If you are not sure what to do next, then you could ask a follow-up question like:

"How can I make the situation right?"

I hope this helps, and Good Luck!

Dear Radio Free Will

Your reading really resonates with me, thank you.
I don't expect the situation to bring misfortune to any party involved - at least, not a great misfortune. I overextended myself, trying to work with two contractors on two different positions to maximise my chances of getting work - to reply to your answer, this is what 10.2.4.5 to 27 would mean.
This is not a criminal endeavour, but not authorised. Administratively speaking I was required to choose only one company to work for, but both threw me out because I was not loyal. (well, there is a very good reason for me not being loyal, as many times in these very large public tenders use CVs of people of experience are presented, like mine, but then "swapped" for "cheaper" people during the implementation phase).

Regarding 6.1.2.3.5 to 30 , yes likely I have lost a client and my reputation with another client is tarnished, but yet it makes sense that on the longer term, I will be fine. The great person is not a lawyer I think, but the boss of the better company - I need to talk to him to align strategies.

Thank you so much again! I will post here once I have the final response, in a few months.
With gratitude,

Urban sparrow

What happened with the meeting Urban Sparrow?
Did it go well?

I received this cast hexagram 10.2.4.5 today in relation to a query re a connection that was going very well, felt very natural & flowing & deep, but then we hit misunderstandings, he thought I was rejecting him (I just wanted to move slower) & stepped abruptly back, I reacted, badly, said some things I shouldn't have, overcommunicated emotionally, apologized, tried to fix it, overcommicated more. Now he's got a wall up. Ow!

So I asked Yi how to disengage myself, transform my emotions, how to let go & release; with this pandemic & isolation we've all got to stay positive!

Yi gave me this cast, so there is obviously something dangerous in the situation & one has to proceed or continue a path through something. I'm a bit mystified by this, as surely the logical thing to do would be to disengage & not contact him, leave him off, move on, but this cast seems to say to proceed with caution?

Maybe it refers to a process underway, that needs to continue, I need to keep walking through it carefully?

I do see a resonance with your situation, as there is a feeling I crossed some lines, I *should* have paid more attention to; line 4 stepping on the tiger's tail.

I think the 3 lines could be 3 "Tigers" in the situation; for you: the 2 companies, and the anti-fraud office?
One is going to snarl, but you'll be OK

I hope it worked out well for you!
