I probably have way to much time to think on my hands right now -_-

But with me going back to college we have to start living more frugal. In two weeks we will be moving from our appartment into our new house, the rent is almost the same but living in a house is always a bigger cost (energy etc..) then a house. I did the mat before we signed the contract so I know we should be allright, but I get worried at times.

Will we be able to pay the bills?
Hex 50 5.6 to 28

The vessel transforms through great exceeding? :stir::confused:
The changing lines indicate progress to perseverance and great good fortune.

Perhaps Yi is just telling me to stop worrying so much ^^

What do the good folks of Clarity think?

Yes, I think Yi is telling you not to worry about it. Hexagram 28 is your relating hex, and that shows that you are worried about the bills being too much. But your moving lines show that you have nothing to worry about.

Thank you Ginnie!

I always tend to read to relating hex as the result, so at first I thought it meant that the ridgepole would buckle -> us not being able to pay the bills.

It was because I found a similar reading here on the forum about a much needed paycheck that someone was expecting that I understood that the 'to muchness' in hex 28 was about me worrying to much. That, and the changing lines threw me of that track as well.

Also when I get hex 28 I have this prejudice it is an ominous message for me. But the message is seldom that black and white, which is why I am so fascinated by the Yi I think.

Anyway thanks alot for the help :) This is how I learn the most from the Yi, by learning from more experienced people here on the forum.

Hey Dancingfox,
I wonder if you could give an update on how 50.5.6-28 worked out for you? I have a friend who has a birthdate coming up on April 8th when there is going to be a major eclipse. I asked what the astrological significance of having an eclipse on his birthday would mean for him And received 50-28.

Hi Rosada, oh wow! What a reading on such a powerful day...

I was very happy in that house, oh my! I still miss it sometimes.

There was more than enough money to pay the bills. My anxiety stemmed from my scarcity mindset, the fear of not having enough. I had the right to retain my unemployment benefits for the duration of my bachelor degree social work, which was quite high because it was calculated based on my previous income as an employee in HR. This arrangement was a special initiative from the gouvernement because there was (and still is) a dire shortage of mental healthcare providers here in Belgium. My ex had a decent job as factory worker. Back then we had a good life with these two incomes, times are more grim these days...

I was forced to leave that wonderful house after five years because I ended a long term relationship with my sweet but sadly very addicted ex. He refused to move out and wasn't able to take care of the house like I did after I left. He was kicked out by the owner about two years later because of neglect and problems with payments. I would have loved to stay in that house.

That was probably more info than you needed... But it's a trip down memorylane for me ;)

Thank you so much for the update! So would you say 50.5.6-28 means good times but ultimately collapse?

The thought crossed my mind too. The seeds for the collapse were already there, but when it came, I had already left the situation.

Now I’m looking at 28. more closely…
The judgement says “The ridge pool sags to the breaking point - it furthers one to have somewhere to go.”
Ordinarily I think of 28 as just meaning something falls apart but now I note that the reason for why this something falls apart is also mentioned in the oracle. That is, 28 describes a situation where the collapse is due to there being too much of something - I would have thought this would have meant too much spending but I guess it was the friend’s addiction issues that ultimately became just too much. And then I realize I usually skip over the hint, “It furthers one to have somewhere to go” which for you might have been a warning that the idyllic situation couldn’t hold up if he didn’t moderate his habits and that you should consider you might have to leave.
Also I usually think of 28 as being disastrous but now I’m seeing the Image as actually being encouraging, “The superior man, when he stands alone is unconcerned, and if he has to renounce the world (your house!) he is undaunted.” So in hindsight I can see this reading as saying you would be able to pay your bills, but something might cause you to need to move on and if that happened not to worry about it, you’d be okay.

Anyway, just poking around with this to get more familiar with 28.
