confused by reading

Hi! I haven't been doing that many readings lately but I've been having trouble with someone and I need to know what her opinion of me is:

What's her opinion of me?

The answer was 42.5

If in truth you have a kind heart, ask not.
Supreme good fortune.
Truly, kindness will be recognized as your virtue.

I'm terribly puzzled by this answer as the person in question has been making my life very difficult. Could this answer indicate that she realizes I'm innocent and that she's unfairly accusing me? This would make her behavior all the more sinister.

I also asked why she is doing this to me:

25.6 to 17

Innocent action brings misfortune.
Nothing furthers.

She wants to stop me from doing something? She wants me to back off of something that I've been doing, to stay uninvolved?

I think the answer is clear. 42.5 actually says 'do not ask' lol, if you know you have done nothing wrong then it is of no consequence what she thinks - IOW everything is fine as it is and furthermore it seems like your reputation remains unsullied so no need to worry about bad press so to speak.

"why is she doing this to me " 25.6 also seems clear to me in that is says if you try to figure this all out you'll make a mistake - leave it alone. The worse thing to do now is to get involved in schemes of any kind, including uncovering other peoples motives

If you have to ask about it you'll get further asking how you should respond to her etc
- but still if you want plots and intrigue ...

Yeah, exactly. Applause for the reading. This is a case when the Yi is not answering the question directly, but rather sending a message to the querent to lay off.

I see this all the time, for example in the threads where people ask questions about world events or political affairs that really have no direct connection with them personally. If I say that though, and if I suggest that the Yi's commenting on the asking of the question rather than answering it, I get a lot of indignant reactions. I'm glad that in this case, Trojan spotted the obvious and that you spotted the sense in what Trojan said.

I think it could include the meaning that this person sees her as a good person ( i think esolo is female) but I'm not sure where you get the sugar daddy bit from ? Or in this case should it be sugar mummy lol

It was the combination with 25.6 and 27 that caused the sugar daddy/mommy impression to arise. This appears to be a hungry person.

I could be all wet on that, though.

You don't need to ask about her! Who cares what she thinks! You're a decent person.

This interpretation makes a lot more sense than one where she thinks I'm a nice person.

Now you confused me. Why you exclude the idea that she thinks you are a nice person ?
Does Yi says literally "ask not" or maybe Don't dubt ?
How do you interpret decent ? To/ for whom ?

It seems that you care about what she thinks. If Yi doesn't answer you directly about her thoughts, maybe wants to tell you something about your needs or maybe her needs too. Maybe access those needs in a trully /honest/decent way.

Well, all these are based on my experience. When I get 27, I try to find the sourse/cause of my hunger, who/what I want to nurish and with what "food"

It isn't a conscious thing. I don't do a lot of analyzing, generally. It's more of an overall impression of questions and answers.

What's tricky is when you see deeper into a matter than the one you're attempting to interpret for. Kind of a 43.3 moment. Oh, well.

Thanks. If anything, the spots continue becoming more subdued. Had some more stripping to do, i.e. quitting smoking, losing concerns, etc, this time around. Not very long before leaving I received 50 with all 6 lines changing. That process is still going on. Way I figure, this Book of Changes doesn't amount to much, other than what we change in ourselves.
