From the other side of the looking glass

This isn't really appropriate for the Ah-ha! readings thread because I received no readings about it. Instead, I'm seeing the Yi from natural images, seeing from the other side of the looking glass: from nature to the Yi.

For my 70th birthday, my favorite niece sent me a small package. Inside was a small cluster of dried shoots with roots, planted in a very small planter. It was a "money tree", said from feng shui to bring prosperity to a household, recommended to be placed on the left side of a room or table etc. Having a green thumb and plenty of sun, I felt quite confident the tree was in good hands. I read up on caring for them, watched videos on fostering new plants from them, found proper locations for them and nourished them while watching and waiting. I pruned the tops 1/2" from the first two leaves, so as to send the chi back to the roots and trunks, and intertwined them to my liking. The biggest leaves were set into a jar of water for a week and then after moving the main tree into a slighly bigger pot, stuck the leaf stems straight into the old pot's soil. All but one eventually shriveled, and the one remaining appeared to be dying, or molting as a deciduous does in fall. I wanted to take a photo of it to send to my niece as I thought the colors were very pretty, when I noticed a tiny sprout, anchored firmly to the loose soil. Behold! The leaf was giving birth! I took the following images to share with my niece, and in the process was seeing a good number of hexagrams taking place. Here are a few. Maybe you can see more.

3, 5, 11, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 30, 32, 35, 37, 42, 46, 49, 53, 57, 64.

I can see many of the hexes you mentioned and the story of the tree reminded me of a similar gift I got. It was an olive tree, as a symbolic gesture accompanied with hex 3 , 14, and 46 ... many other hex wishes.

What jumps out is 14, in my story, because it was a reminder , like in times we forget our 14 yi comes to refresh our memory.

I didn't/ couldn't take care of it, but seen yours makes me see 14.

... and h1

This is splendid :). The last plant I tried to keep was eaten by my cat (I should have known to use a hanging basket!), so I appreciate seeing other people's plants.

Reminds me of this thread of Ashteroid's, which I also enjoyed (all the pictures are gone now, though).
