Help with interpretation

I am new to the I Ching and need some help with interpreting a reading. For this reading I asked if I should contact someone from my past. The person I'm considering contacting is an ex. We have known each other since we were 16 (we are now both 34). I hadn't heard from him in 10 years. I randomly received a letter from him about 4 years ago. He said he remembered my address in a dream and decided to write me a letter. We communicated for four years through letters. It seemed like we had a strong connection. We talked about the past and why things didn't work out. We said we loved each other and thought we might have a future together. But, when we got together things unraveled pretty quickly. I felt hurt and told him to never contact me again. I sent back all the letters he wrote. But, it's a year later and I can't shake it.

Here is my reading:

Hexagram 12 "Blocked" changing to Hexagram 45 "gathering"

Changing lines 6 'overturning the block. Before blocked. Afterwards rejoicing.'

"Gathering" follows from Hexagram 44 "coupling" and is also paired with hexagram 46 "pushing upward."

Any thoughts on how to interpret this?

12.6 indicates the stand still period has come to an end, so I believe the answer is yes.
