I can see the Gradual Process in many ways in this new relationship that has had its ups and downs, that we should take things at a snails pace, but i am not understanding the Earth tone? when it changes to a new Hex.

Do everything very slowly and gradually. There are obstacles, but persistence pays. The 2 simply means you have to be patient, not selfish, and don't disregard any emotions here.
