I don't care for this interpretation of Li Yong Zhen. It's more like the situation merits enduring persistence, or warrants long term commitment, etc. That is, the rewards are way down the road here, after a lot of effort, and it's time to study whether or not it's worth this much effort and patience. The Xiao Xiang says Yi Da Zhong, a means to a great, full or mature conclusion. Rewards are at the end, not perpetually ongoing.Stephen Karcher suggestes that all six lines changing can be interpreted as being 'a long term effort which is perpetually advantageous'. Does anybody else have any views on this?
I have Karcher's works and also Legge's - can anyone recommend any other reference material?
I used to think Hex 1 was about unity. Now I think it's about flow.
The Hexagram Name for 02 in the Mawangdui is Chuan, Stream or Flow.
