My boyfriend and I have been broken up for a little over a month after almost four years of dating. I asked what could potentially happen between the two of us (as in, could we get back together, what might our relationship end up like in general, etc.) For this question I received Hexagram 20 and 8, with a line of change at the top. As of right now we're not quite friends, but not completely out of contact. Anybody's interpretation of this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Im no expert but I see you received no replies, so I thought I would send one. #20 just looking (correct answer as you and your ex are doing just that) #8...form or strengthen a grp. now, if you leave it too late, you will regret it. (i use the Richard Gill version of Iching)If you want this ex, it is going to take some effort on your part. So..i think your relationship would work if you can strengthen it. Its up to you.

In order for anything to happen, you are going to have to review the problems that existed within the relationship, and see how you could handle things better. You will have to think about what you did right and what you did wrong, or what went right or wrong, as see if you can come up with some better ways to interact. Without that, I would say there is not much hope. The two of you will also have to do some extensive communication to see where things went wrong.

I asked what could potentially happen between the two of us ....

Observing each other with a sense of remoteness or great distance ... and not much feeling. This will not be someone you can feel close to in the usual way.
