Hello friends, I have been a guest of this forum for some time. Many thanks for the interpretations you all provide. Today I have finally joined hoping to get some feedback myself.
Last night, a series of events led me to realize that I was responsible for losing the love of my life. I had been hiding this from myself for a long time, because it is a painful truth. I neglected the relationship when it seems like it could have easily been put back together. I have thought about reaching out to her for a couple years. It's been almost 10 years since we spoke regularly, so I am aware that rekindling the flame is probably unlikely. That's fine. I've accepted that and who knows if we would even get along now. I just want her to know how much she means to me and to apologize for the ways that I failed her.
Here's the question:
"What is the best way to proceed in relationship to [my ex]?"
I received Hexagram 43.6 changing to 1.
From what I've read, the moving line indicates a clear message to reach out and speak up. That I will regret it if I say nothing. But, I am also concerned about the mentions of danger. I think there is the danger of opening an old wound. And I do not want to cause drama, disrupt her life or interfere with a current relationship if she has one. It's been so long since we last spoke.
What is of particular concern to me is a mention I saw on James DeKorne's site that spoke of "unexpected catastrophe" in relation to this line. This spooked me, as one might imagine. I don't know what that could be in this situation. The commentary and notes on that site for that line are quite negative which has made me ambivalent. I am hoping to get some reassurance on what "misfortune" in this line might entail given this situation, and whether or not this reading may suggest that my message will be well received.
