Is Yi laughing at me or what??

Hello everyone

I haven't been here for a while because life's been a bit - well, challenging on the work and health fronts. This evening, feeling a bit below par, I asked 'what's the matter with me?'

I got 35. 1. 4. 5. =. 42

Couldn't be further from how I'm feeling! Could anyone throw any light on this please? I did wonder if Yi was having a good laugh, which wouldn't be the first time!

Many, many thanks

Isn't that strange? And another time when you're feeling on top of the world you draw the hand of death. Only thing I can figure is that when anything reaches its peak, it turns into its opposite. Anyway, let's hope this is true in your case.

Hello Candid!

I hadn't thought of that - what a very nice idea. I'll let you know what happens.

Thank you so much!

There's no positive correlation between how you feel and how you're actually doing on other, usually far more important, levels. In fact, some of the times when you're really emotionally stretched are the times when you're making the most progress in ways that really count - certain emotional states spur you on sometimes, and you become more aware and intentional and focussed.

Looking at the lines you drew:

35.1 talks about the frustration of 'two steps forward, one step back' and not nabbing what you're hoping for (maybe that's a part of how you feel now), but overall the line says that carrying out what you think is right is fortunate.

35.4 talks about your having motivations that are below you in this case - timid perhaps, or acquisitive - but definitely on too small a scale to match your values. This might also connect to how you've been feeling.

35.5 - good stuff, and in this case, it might be the 'advice' you need from the Yi. 35.5 says 'letting go, getting, no concern'. In other words, not being concerned, worried or anxious about what you get or what you lose. It's a warrior's viewpoint. It also talks about how moving on from where you've been is completely advantageous in every aspect.

So, if you think that these lines are in any way sequential in the events and experiences you're having in your life, then 35.5 is something to really look forward to - an opportunity you can manifest if you want to.

And if you look at the simple Hex 35 > Hex 42 change, it talks about progress and important honors that augment you in some way.

Finally, (and this has nothing to do with the Yi directly) last night I was reading something that talked about how what really counts as you go through the ups and downs is the attitude you maintain and the clarity of your intention. I'd say that's pretty right on. If you substituted 'ideal' for 'intention' I think it would be even closer to the mark.

Finally finally lol - the Yi has humor, but it's never derisive. You're not being mocked here in what the Yi's given you.

Dobro, thank you!

What you write fits perfectly with what I've been working on regarding mental attitude recently. Seems I am making progress even though outward appearances may not yet be showing it! That has cheered me up no end - thank you so much.
