Job Question hex 2.1>24

Hello all!

Would you kindly help me with this interpretation?

I returned to my job after a 4-months medical leave due to a car accident. Things are pretty weird in the office with my managers (they believe I extended the medical leave on purpose, as if I was on holidays + they hired someone else to do my job because they thought I wouldn't come back and plop! Here I am, etc). Even before the accident I was already thinking about quitting, but now that feeling has become more intense. Life is elsewhere, not inside that office. I'm completely aware of that.
I have the chance to return to my former job (less money but more work-life balance). I contacted one of the managers and said yes, but the other manager hasn't replied yet. I'm waiting for their response....

I asked the i-Ching; what's the situation in my work life? (I made the question in Spanish, it makes more sense) and got hex 2.1 > 24

What I understand....

2.1 I can relate the line much better than the judgement. "What appears to be happening now solidifies to something more certain later. Or it can be that as things appear now so they will continue to be and in a more permanent form...just as frost surely heralds ice." This tough environment will definitely become more tough in the future. Maybe I'm about to be fired?

24. The returning or the turning point. Well... Is this to Return to my old job? Or to return to the same feelings of disgrace in my current job, the same feelings I had before the accident? Is this hex about my current situation or a future situation?

I see 2.1 as a good description of what you are going through now: returning to an old job but thinking of returning to a former one.

2.1 a situation that is still in flux. It's as if the dragon who flew so high in 1.6 must now come back down to earth and he hasn't hit solid ground yet. You were off (flying high!) on your own for 4 months and now you are Returning to your job but maybe 2.1 says this particular job is not solid ground for you, you are going to go even farther back to where you really felt you were on solid ground and Return to the job before this one.

Also this hexagram could indicate you are are coming back to reality but the full implications of what that might mean haven't become clear to you yet.
I think you are being advised to hang in there with your current situation until the next step becomes more obvious.

I wanted to give an update on this.
Finally I'm here still in my job. Couldn't return to my old job as one of my bosses didn't reply.
So I'm still here, still looking for a job that would allow me to have more work-life balance with a decent salary.
I'm trying to make my best from this situation, I'm taking as many home office days as possible, I'm claiming some time for me, I'm doing what I can to balance my life.
The dark side of the story is that my my body started to show signs of stress. I'm getting as many pains/diseases as possible which magically disappear on Friday night. I'm working with a therapist and she advised me that I will be showing signs of illnesses or pain as long as I continue in this job. She says it is my own body/mind telling me to quit. I'm back smoking, and lost a few pounds, although I eat a lot....
Well, this is the update so far.

Thank you for updating.
In retrospect, I see 2.1 as foretelling your fate in returning to your old job. 2.1 : when you receive a chilly or cool response, expect the coldness to come, which it did (the other boss didn't get back to you).
So you had to return to your present job. 24 also shows that you are returning to yourself, and right principles for living, in the meantime.
Perhaps you could ask the best approach for being at your present job, while finding something better.
I often ask question re: the best approach. I also work with my inner attitudes, so that I get into a space of clarity, receptivity, and confidence, when I seek new opportunities. My experience is that fear and ambivalence, which are natural when I'm feeling down or victimized, actually stand in the way of good results. All the best to you.
